No news on bots?

seriously hate it when they don't tell us
They're not telling us which means Marco is nominated and they're trying to work out what to do to save him (probably another evict to the others house)

There are too many problems surrounding Marco at the moment and Chanel 5 is being crucified over him...I'm not sure they'd want to save him.

If both the viewers and HMs don't want someone in the House, what makes C5 think it will keep viewers?

I don't like Marco, but wouldn't mind him staying for drama because I'd prefer the bores out first. But if he's legit up for eviction and the producers twist it so he's saved then I won't be happy.

I get most enjoyment watching arseholes get evicted first. So hopefully Marco goes.
What's the point of evicting boring people, when you can watch an egomaniac get his comeuppance and shake up the house a bit.
And I never like this idea that because people aren't overbearing buffoons like Marco they must be boring, whilst he must be interesting.

And I never like this idea that because people aren't overbearing buffoons like Marco they must be boring, whilst he must be interesting.
The point of evicting boring people is they are contributing nothing to the programme and once you're left with a bunch of them (as often happens) people begin to complain the show is boring (which it is), people start talking about the show less and that can be seriously detrimental to it.
It's all well and good wanting to evict arseholes but not if it damages the quality of the series. Do I like Marco as a person? No, I think he's abhorrent and just about everything I would hate to live with. But I'm not living with him, and he's going to be a far more divisive force in an entertainment programme than the likes of some of the others are, so it makes more logical sense that he should stay. He sparks discussion and shows like Big Brother thrive off of that, who the **** is talking about housemates like Evelyn or Sam? No one, cause they're crap
It is also not true that people who aren't like Marco are boring, you don't have to act exactly like him, you just have to step up to the plate and offer something to the show you're taking part in. Natalie is nothing like Marco, she's a great housemate. So is Hughie, or Ryan, or even people like Chelsea and Georgina who now seem to be stepping up a gear. None of these housemates are like Marco.

Nah, he's got no chance one way or another. The public legit hate the guy.
We've seen what BB can do with a bit of severely biased editing many times in the past.
If Georgina and Marco are both up all they'll have to do is show every single incidence of Georgina moaning or being negative or lecturing people about cleaning the toilet and what type of **** is allowed to exit their arse when using said toilet and only show the minimum footage of Marco and then only things that people might find more endearing (some exceptionally masterful editing may be required with that one:laugh:) and come Friday.......cue moronic "woop, woop" crowd, brief Marco on what to do during the live bits and the idiots outside will be cheering Marco up a storm and Georgina will get boo's...............job done!
I'd be quite surprised if it does actually go that way but depending what happens in tomorrow's highlights i wouldn't be totally shocked!
It's just occurred to me that it's Thursday tomorrow and we still don't actually know who is up for eviction!!!!
It's no doubt gonna' end up with less than 24 hours of voting. That way it'll be easier for them to influence and manipulate the whole thing.
What a massive mess........again this year!!!!
If someone had been able to see a current-ish BB Series (last year's or this one.........or that ****ing mess of a year they fixed it for gob****e Helen to win) back when BB was in its prime on C4 they wouldn't believe it was real.
I struggle to believe this crap is real even having seen it gradually deteriorate into the dreadful hideousness it has become now so going straight from classic, amazing, un-missable BB to THIS it would be impossible to comprehend that things could get this bad.

The very fact that he's one of the most talked about housemates this series means he does, when the show is being discussed it gets more attention and the more attention it gets the better it does. Housemates that spark said discussion are good for the show
I'm not denying he's an arsehole, but if we all judge them as people rather than housemates the show will fall flat on its face

Is there a reason why you ignored the post I made in response to you and quoted my post to someone else instead?
And I wondered how long it would take before someone brought up a ridiculously extreme example, it happens every time  no, there are of course exceptions to the rule (Dennis, Daley, Helen BB16, Conor, a few others I've probably forgotten) but they should go without saying. Generally speaking, housemates who provoke discussion are good for the show as that is what something like Big Brother thrives on - discussion

Twats like Marco have been evicted from big brother early on since the beginning and the show has gone on. He's given us all he has to offer a forced showmance and his prancing around. Evicting is probably gonna be the best for the show coz no one wants to watch a show that just revolves around one dickhead.

The show goes on, but the quality dips and the problem is is that on BBUK these aren't sporadic decisions where it's like 'okay well this week the twat can go but next week we'll pick a bore I promise x', it starts a disheartening and series-ruining pattern that usually the show doesn't recover from. It's a domino effect, once one drops so do the rest, and we're more often than not left with a house full of people who aren't doing anything and in typical fashion people start complaining it's boring and wondering why
I actually disagree, and I think the showmance is going to end personally...but he is an extremely divisive character, he looks like a ****ing nightmare to live with (which is a good thing!) and many housemates have already said how fed up with him they are. Why would we as viewers want to give them that? We aren't living with them. I can actually see his annoying behaviour only getting worse and the more it divides them, the better it gets
This series definitely doesn't just resolve around him either, that's usually the case but there are plenty of others that have had just as much focus as him

Disagree with 13 too personally but that's an unpopular opinion

8 only dipped when the half way house got boring imo. That season had too many housemates and was too long. but the rest were ok 10 isn't my favourite series but it was the same quality throughout. 13 is probably the perfect c5 series for me.

Marco as the first ever man evicted first? Is there a chance?
JTM45
16-06-2016, 02:09 AM
The 'quality' has more than dipped a long time since Jack.
I keep watching every year with some tiny amount of hope that they'll sort it out and every year they start off by telling us that "this is the one"......."things have changed" etc. etc. but every year feels like more of an insult to our intelligence than the last.
We're only a week or whatever it is into this series and already the bull**** they've tried to feed us is monumentally insulting! That ****ing 'live twist' thing last night surely must be a new low in C5 BB incompetence. I really could not believe that anyone could **** up a mere 30 minutes of 'live' TV quite that badly.
The delusion that they think that it's OK to have major incidents go on that we find out about but are never given explanations for just gets more extreme year by year too.
And the reason it's boring is because of the abysmal production values, the almost complete lack of anything vaguely resembling an entertaining task or just basic ideas for themes and the gradual shedding of just about everything that used to make the show watchable (and more importantly enjoyable!).
The day to day life in the house in the way it used to be produced could be extremely good viewing, especially when they auditioned real people and we ended up with housemates who were real people who had real personalities and weren't treating BB like a stepping stone to their Z-List careers.
There's pretty much a total lack of respect from the producers to us, the viewers any more. They know that as long as they cause drama and fuss by whatever ridiculous devices they can use whilst spending as little money as possible (in relation to the amount of cash they can get back through sponsorship and adverts) we'll keep on watching in the hope that we'll get what we were told we would (but never do any more!).
I've found this series to be the worst yet so far and there's not really any reason that i can see that it's going to get any better because they just don't give a **** any more.
