Jozea is so entertainingly delusional, I'm not here for him going yet :shame:
BBUK fans are now completely tuned into seeing people as 'goodies' and 'baddies' even though they all just want to keep in the house. Paul is a better player so he definitely needs to stay anyway.
Ugh at Frank winning the competition. And the competition was decent, better than the run of memory tasks we'll probably get and the tediously limited approach in BBUK.
starry
27-06-2016, 09:17 AM
It's the same as the MVP twist
With the MVP twist a competition didn't have to be won?
If only people would play more anonymously in this version to make moves when they are given the chance.
I want Paul gone but I wouldn't mind Jozea either though I lowkey like his delusions

I just see it as a bunch of friends giving each other names and having fun rather than a serious alliance at this point. Bronte is by far the best of them for me as she is just different. The best thing about Bridgette is the omg face (probably done on cue for cameras but still...).
Why aren't the pics at the top updated? It certainly looks like Liz wasn't appreciated here looking at those percentages.

Yeah I agree, I like that they've naturally gravitated towards each other because they're just friends wanting to have fun. I hope it lasts :p
I would probably say Natalie > Bridgette > Bronte rn, but they all make up my top three atm.

Episodes seem to be Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday...so it must be a mistake.
Da'Vonne has always been funny in the DR. Liz was great too and I hope she's being saved for Allstars. The dentist was ok last year, but the DRs were painful with all his shouting. And James was so stilted reading his script in the DR before I'm relieved we haven't had to hear much from him yet.

A Jozea HOH would be hilarious
starry
30-06-2016, 12:17 PM
It's getting very one note. Like BBUK it's focussing on one person who's meant to be evicted at the end of the week. Paulie is more a threat to win so would more obviously be targeted by most of the house, but with how bad the gameplay is on this show it probably won't happen.
The only interesting thing in the latest episode was Bridgette getting on the wrong side of the vets, I wonder if she'll sense that and turn against them even more. Bronte was definitely brainless in her remark about her spying in the HoH room.
Frank still annoys me, there's just something arrogant (and not in a funny way). Oh and James doing his usual infantile stuff for screentime.

Episode 3 and 4 few notes:
Jozea is ridiculously delirious and a possibly the biggest idiot ever on BBUS.
Also the Spy Girls alliance isn´t going to work, especially now that Tiffany knows about it. Natalie will probably be the one to go first from that alliance. Also them wanting to work with Jozea, Paul and was it... Victor, is not a smart thing to do.
Not surprised that Frank won. But he seems to be playing much smarter this time around, so it´s okay. Quite hilarious that everyone thinks it´s Michelle and not Frank.
8 pack is going to run the show, unless stopped early. The Roadkill comp is going to help them greatly. Which is no surprise, since that´s why it was invented. To protect the former houseguests from going early. At this moment the 8 pack are the ones to beat, while the others are just statists.
A convincing veto win from Paul. He might be competition beast.

It's a shame that Jozea is going so soon because he's been very entertaining so far. I on't like Paulie and want him to leave before the jury phase, but that's probably not going to happen. The Spy Girls remian my favourites, and Bronte's reactions to things are so hilarious (shame about the problematic behaviour).

What's the tea on Raceonte?
Macie Lightfoot
30-06-2016, 06:17 PM
^ I think that's my fave part about Bronte? Not the racism (which, for the record, I don't think she's A Racist, I just think when she talks **** about people she goes for the most scathing, personal insults. This isn't excusing her behavior, just an explanation/theory), but the fact that despite what the show wants to portray her as and how she wants to portray herself, she's actually a huuuuuuuuge ****ing bitch

Yeah, I love all of that about her. The fact that she's seems so sweet but is the complete opposite. The way she defended herself against the boys during that confrontation about James' comment referring to Victor taking Nicole out on a date (or something along those lines?), "I give a ****, and you guys are going to respect that I give a ****!"
You clairfy it well though. I just hope her behaviour isn't an example of how problematic she can potentially become. I feel like ever since BB15 people try to villainise people to the same extent as Aaryn/GinaMarie/whoever were. Regardless I still adore Bronte as a character as of now.

yeah, like on the premiere when he said his last name was Calafiore as if people would recognize it :conf: I'm just sick of this show jerking itself off to BB16 and acting like it was a good season, and Paulie acting like Cody was a good player. He got to 2nd place because of a good social game and his charm. It almost didn't matter what he did because of how good he was in those ways, he just made a mistake in the end.

He's a nightmare already. I don't get how Cody can get away with being called a good player in any respect. Like, if I were Cody I would even cringe at that statement.

He got to the end because of a big alliance that was created out of paranoia by Devin tbh. I would argue that his social game was pretty much non existent due to the fact that he was in a position where his alliance got the power pretty much on a week to week basis. His mistake at the end epitomises how terrible h is at the game (imo).
The only reason Paulie got cast was because of his brother, but I would've thought he would've tried to make himself come across more as a unique individual. Not someone who is using his brother's 'success' (or lack of) as a form of strategy. It's just arrogant and annoying.
Macie Lightfoot
01-07-2016, 02:27 AM
I think the biggest thing for me is that Cody had such a clear path to victory but he actively made moves that hurt his own personal game and benefited Derrick's. Like, he's a str8 white male who is conventionally attractive and "charming" or "charismatic" or whatever you wanna call it. All he had to do is breathe and exist and people were rooting for his success and wanting to align with him.
I know evicting Victoria is The Worst Move but his first HoH reign was disastrous. Like, he threw away an easy as **** F4 scenario with Zach/Victoria/Brittany and backdoored Brittany just because Derrick wanted him to. There was literally no benefit to it -- Brittany loved Cody and Caleb wanted him out because he touched Amber's back or some ****.
Braden
01-07-2016, 02:35 AM
Yeah, BB16 is a blue to me because I hated it so much, but I do remember being annoyed at Cody for not nominating Caleb. Not saying he wasn't strategic because of it, I just wanted Caleb out at the time :p But yeah, I remember Brittany and Cody being close. He just enabled Derrick to get to the end with no issues, which turned out to be the ongoing theme of the season.

01-07-2016, 02:41 AM
The thing is, Derrick had his back as well. If he doesn't listen to Derrick, he maybe wouldn't have as close of a #1 ally. Maybe Derrick drifts away from him as well and Cody gets booted much earlier because Derrick was a very crafty player with a lot of influence on everyone. There's no way to prove how things would've changed.
Caleb won what, at least 2 HOH's after that? And Cody never touched the block. Derrick influencing him in some ways were usually beneficial to him too (which idk ALL ways Derrick influenced him as I didn't watch feeds for that season). However, Cody & Caleb seemed pretty close by the end of the season cause of his social game so it couldn't have been that much of a mistake.

I like meaningful competitions, better than have/have not. But such things need to be shown live. It's amazing that after all these years they don't get that, the audience seem to have become trained to wait days to see what's happened. Three episodes a week has never been enough, they may as well use the After Dark spot to show to show a competition. Even if it's three a week, and a special show for the evictees, they still don't organise the house events well with the episodes.

Sure Derrick had Cody's back, but plenty of other people also did and would have including that week's evictee Brittany. It's not even that Cody didn't backdoor Caleb (who was openly against him at that time because he flirted with Amber once or summat), it's the fact that he nominated Brittany in the first place and then nominated Donny. Brittany *loved* Cody, and Cody also had a good individual relationship with Donny. But Derrick didn't, and Derrick wanted Donny nominated so Cody did so. He sacrifice his entire individual game in order to be Hitmen 5eva just because he has a daddy complex.

Really boring. The teams twist is just to help the vets. Not that surprising James is hated by many of the newbies, and his special spots in the HLs are geared to getting him another pay cheque as America's Favourite I guess.
And the Roadkill is pretty much pointless in this circumstance, and maybe will be most of the time. For all the DR script saying Victor had to win it that was all obviously bull****, the veto is really all that matters here.
And the HMs in general are used to thinking in terms of a battle of two people who are nominated, the third one will often seem pointless. And the paranoia aspect is often irrelevant as well, the gameplay consequences one could be more interesting. Though in the case where there is one big alliance nothing will make it that interesting. At least picking Tiffany, who apparently isn't very liked (though not shown in the HLs) it could set her afloat even more.
But the edit of making Frank seem like he's really clever, or the 'underdogs' are just idiots is quite annoying. If you're in a small group there really isn't that much to do, as in the HoH you can't play for yourself as we saw here. So all you can play for is the Veto.
Victor has picked up from Jozea's delusions looool and I really have grown to dislike Frank more and more
