No and I kinda don't want it to be if it means we're left with all the deadwood once Jayne/Hughie/Lateysha/Charlie/Ryan etc are all evicted before the end

I'd like it to be extended atm but it depends if it turns out like every other C5 series that isn't BB13 and gets really dull post week 4

No because it'd affect their CBB plans

Your only point is that Natalie was evicted early. Even you do not admit it.

If Channel 5 were to do anything with BB17 it'd be shorten the length of the series to get their precious celebrities in the house for CBB18 asap.
The way Channel 5 are going I honestly think we are in for a 6 week CBB18 in August followed by possibly 8 weeks for CBB19 in January 2017. I know "big" celebrities won't stay for that long but c'mon the Geordie Shore, Ex On The Beach mob will do anything for £££.

It isn't CBB, so there's no way it'll ever be extended
Seven weeks or whatever it is now is just pathetic, they may as well not bother

So there's lots of points that you can argue to this, but the fact C5 seem to only care about CBB means no, it probably won't be extended.
But I was thinking, the ratings are OK just now, yet facing huge competition from football and being beaten from love island. However, when both them finish ratings could surge, and if it's near the end of the series and ratings suddenly get better, maybe they will extend it to prolong the that? They'd be able to easily, there are more than enough housemates to extend it by months

Even if it reached Channel 4 quality, I don't think it will be extended. Celebrity Big Brother seems to be the main priority.

They have room to extend it I believe for up to two weeks if they wanted to if CBB would start at the same time next year.

It's possible for this series to last 11 weeks without affecting CBB plans.

yeah extend the series, after this week no eviction for about 3 weeks, to make it a nice group, without Georgina who will be evicted this week :cheer: :cheer:

I don't see why they need such a gap between civilian and summer CBB... I mean realistically having it the same month feels too soon either way so they may as well extend BB17 by at least 1-2 weeks just so it feels like a proper length.

Celebrity big brother is set to launch 3 days after big brother ends, like it used to...

No. And I hope not a short and sweet season is what this needs to beZ we don't want them to long it out and it just turn to ****.

If Emma said that BB17 has 4.5 to 5 weeks left on Friday by your reply CBB18 should be starting on or before 1 August then?!

Well Powertrip launched roughly the same time as this years BB, and then that CBB launched on August 18th. Take into account Emma was probably a bit off and that this series is a week shorter, then yeah maybe around the 4th-11th August.

Week 2 of BB16 got an average of 1.28million viewers.
Week 2 of BB17 got an average of 1.57million viewers.
Nearly 300,000 up on last year.

An extra week of Alex, Emma, Jason & Sam ?
No thanks.
I would watch an extra week of Emma in the house on her own
