View Full Version : No reason for BB to call Hughie to the diary room
He did nothing wrong and was only in the middle of his side of things.
You could see his frustrations at that, but i bet he has had that sort of persecution his whole life.
Shame on BB.

He pushed Jackson off him (and hilariously to the ground) and tried to walk through a few other housemates to get closer to Alex. Doubt he would have done anything but scream.. but keeping him away from Alex instead wasn't a terrible idea from BB

I like Hughie but when he blows he looks totally out of control....the situation looks like someone could get hurt in the crossfire...BB have to intervene if only for his own good....sometimes I don't think he knows who's on his side and who isn't ...Jayne has been his friend yet he nominated her and Ryan who he thinks is his friend created that drama tonight and then watched him get so upset by the fall out without fessing up to it and stopping it.
But hughie only flipped because bb only called him, before that he was just giving his opinion in a loud voice to alex who wouldn't let him explain, hence the raised voice, which he also does so everyone can hear thats in the room.
I thought he was persecuted a bit by bb because of his background.

Never thought it was his background, be so wrong if it was.
I think it's part because he gets so emotional and appears distressed when he's shouting ....he def didn't shout as loud as Natalie but was always the one called in by BB so I understand his frustration, it can look like they target him...
They don't say he's in the D room to be reprimanded tho they always say it's so he can calm down and I do kinda get what they mean...they've done it to Lareysha too when she's appeared distressed by her own anger.

Yes, he has probably been persecuted like that his whole life.
When I worked in Ireland, they persecuted people like Hughie all the time, just for going into pubs, getting totally blotto, and picking fights with any stranger who looked at them the wrong way.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Hughie and his fellow travellers, and I think it is a disgrace that almost every pub where they turn up decides to ban them just because they think they are going to cause mayhem and wreck the joint.
Where's the evidence for this rubbish?
People from Ireland, those who attend the Cheltenham Festival or the Derby,
and anyone who lives near a field or layby in Ireland where travellers decide to descend should not respond. These people deserve respect, and should not be held responsible for those who hold bare knuckle fights at horse racing meetings.

Lol. It'd be amazing if they could allow violence. Each intro everyday would be like
"Today, on big brother..."
Then clips HM's giving each other haymakers, Jason throwing people through the big windows. Hair extensions like confetti in the air.
With some high octane music going on. Or maybe speed up the clips and add the benny hill theme tune.
..in reacting the way he did at being called into the DR in only getting more angry then yes, it was a good call to call him into the DR..../his reaction justified it...

This is all I ask.
...also Hughie can go from zero to one hundred degrees within seconds so he couldn't not have been called into the diary room because he had lost all of his self awareness in those moments..we've probably seen him in HL shows for no more than 30 minutes or so if all of his moments were put together..so we have no idea of whether he is 'harmless' or not in his anger and he needed to be removed from the situation...

I thought that too, there were too many involved in that and some incident could have occurred.
I'd be more bothered about Sam actually, he fuels things and then can get really aggressive himself.

Hughie was (and often is) short tempered, going out of proportion and intimidating once something annoy him. He can't control himself. BB was right to take him out of this situation.
Yes, he has probably been persecuted like that his whole life.

..in reacting the way he did at being called into the DR in only getting more angry then yes, it was a good call to call him into the DR..../his reaction justified it...
His reaction was because he was in control of his emotions when bb called him in to the diary room and his frustration at being the only one called in.
I can see his point as well and it sadenned me that he will have had to deal with this sort of pre judgement all his life because of his traveller background....WHY ARE THEY ONLY CALLING HUGHIE when sam and ryans argument was way more shouty and vicious.

He didnt need to have a go at Alex though. Alex asked a question because of what Sam said, after that he didnt do anything until Hughie got involved. Ok, so maybe Alex should not have told him to get involved but Hughie took it too far in his response.
Hughie had a go at Alex in the other house about not getting involved but when Hughie was told the same thing he blew his stack.

Well presumably Alex wasn't called to the diary room because he maintained his calm and didn't start screaming. I know Hughie is favoured over Alex but in reality Hughie was the one showing signs of aggression and having to be held back by housemates.
He charged at Jason and headbutted him in the chest just trying to get in Alex's face and pushed Jackson over.

in there defence - they do not no how HM are going to react and to act on the side of caution they had to.
I have total faith in hugie and I feel he would not raise a finger to anyone - its just the way he expresses himself - that's why he was called in.

I see your point, but sam and ryans argument was far worse than hughie and alex, until bb called him....so why call hughie but not sam or ryan who were vigorously going for it shouting much louder than hughie.
The only reason i can come up with is the fact that people pre judge the travelling community and in this instance hughie was pre judged for being a traveller.

BB are **** scared of him losing his tempter properly I think. probably as he is a traveller. I suspect they would have been the same with Andrew had he still been in there.
I think I would have called Alex in tbh, given he seemed to be purposely goading.
Jackson though, thinking he had the situation under control :D

No they shouldnt have called it - his outburst had me creasing up with laughter! I love it! He has the common sense not to hit anyone that wasn't going to happen - if it was a woman they would have let her scream for much longer. Great series. Typical that when they have such great HM's they go and make it only 8 weeks long!!!!

Big brother takes him away because he shows that he has a bit of a personality disorder when he flips (hence the whole hewie hewbert thing) its perfectly fine and its only logic for him to deny the reasoning why big bro takes him first. I actually wouldnt mind seeing Hewie win if he keeps himself abit composed.

I totally agree, Cherie.
It looks as if Alex thinks he can push Hughie far enough and often enough that he'll run out of warnings and be ejected.
It's clear to see that Hughie isn't aggressive, although some have mistaken his loudness for aggression at the start. He's just frustrated and venting, trying to get his view across. You can see that in his face and in his body language.
It's the likes of Alex, Jackson, Sam and Ryan who are really aggressive - just look at their faces and the way they front up to Hughie whenever he gets worked up.
I agree that BB may be pulling Hughie into the DR in case someone takes a pop at him, but they should deal with the others, too, especially Alex for inciting and escalating the situation.

Go hugie go
He starts shouting because he gets frustrated , people talk to him like a mupphet
And don't let him have his say because they know they'll push him into an explosive moment ,, he looks stupid and they come out looking good ,,
I'm glad people saw sam for what he is now
A ****ing **** stirring coward
He could have left that alone but instead spread the word , waited till someone bites , waited till that then becomes an argument then joins in once others are involed he can hide behind

Alex was the biggest ish-stirrer in that whole argument. His over-biting eroded front teeth were snarling at the whole conflict he had created. Apart from his physique, I don't see what all the attraction is surrounding Alex, he sounds like Lily Savage and is about exciting as a broken Xbox 360 headset. It was so obvious Alex was trying to instigate a full-out fight between Sam and Ryan - of course Hughie is going to stick up for Ryan if he sees that someone is coming at him unnecessarily. I don't know why they allow Alex to get away with goading people like he does. He's an awful simpleton swine and he's intolerable... #rantover.
