 he's the most normal in there. Hughie is letting the bitchy gang influence him. :nono:

He took the comment back seconds later because he wasn't sure what sinister is :suspect:

And you can still be normal and be sinister just like you can be a bit kookier and be a lovely person. I don't get how him being normal exempts him from being a bit sinister.

Why is it always somebody else's fault? hasn't Hughie got a min of his own?

I always take sinister to mean...evil. Not sure Andy is that somehow

I think the guy who literally followed someone around trying to force an argument needs to look a little closer to home for "sinister".

That was rather funny him puzzling over what was the right word.

It doesn't excempt him, he just is a thoroughly decent and principled guy with manners and integrity

i'd happily spend a rainy afternoon with him reading books and drinking hot chocolate by an open fire

Andy should have asked him to spell it...that would have knocked him off his perch

Hughie knows something isn't right about the guy.

he's far too well-mannered. besides, i'm pretty sure he doesn't judge people over that kind of thing, more on their personal ethics and behaviour.
the thing is with this word, i got the distinct impression (having seen hughie say to ryan something along the lines of 'i can be evil') that hughie used exactly the word he wanted to knowing it'd stick in people's minds, and only retracting it after the seed was sown....

Later on in the DR he kind of backpedaled and said he doesn't know, maybe he's misunderstood... more than anyone else has said. Everyone else is convinced, Hughie is a bit cynical, he knows that there may be a possibility that Andy is just misunderstood.

and you don't think he possibly did that when he saw the reactions of his housemates and decided he may have come across looking bad to the viewers? hughie may not be the brightest, but he's not entirely thick.

Sinister is derived from the Latin meaning left handed.
I'm surprised that the permanently offended on here aren't having a bad turn at people disrespecting lefties.
I got that from Hughie's Masters dissertation titled, "Tings I know nuttin about or what dey mean".
