Why do people think Alex is gonna win?

None of the recent C5 winners have been this boring:
Chloe - spoke loads, always stood up for herself.
Helen - was Helen.
Sam - even if he was quiet, he had a personality.
Luke A - probably the most similar, as all he did was sit in the smoking area and bitch. But he was still more interesting.

I think Jordan you might have a point. Ok well I think it was said that 70 per cent of the people who vote are women and of that I reckon a fair percentage are young women. Alex is goodlooking (might even the the ONLY reason they watch BB) so they don't care if he is dull or hardly ever features they will vote for him. I have seen classic examples in shows like American Idol where the final two are a guy and a girl. The girl is a million per cent better than the guy (even if he is pretty decent too) The girl loses out. It has happened in The Voice also (specially here in Ireland this year) The girl finalist was absolutely outstanding and so unique. The dishy male finalist had a nice voice but would only ever do 'cover versions' The girl should have one A MILLION PERCENT but the guy won. I rest my case. And I am not being sexist I am just stating how I see it

I think it's just the celebs he knows who will advertise his number and stuff all over social media. I dunno how much difference it'll make but it gives him an advantage

He is a massive contender for the 'anti' vote, which helps a lot. He is guaranteed a final spot realistically with the vote to evict format. The anti thing...

Lets use tonights most talked about HM as an example. If the final 2 is Andy and Alex. Andy seems to be a hugely controversial character. Many will vote him to win, however so many really dislike him that they will be in the 'anyone but Andy' brainset and thus vote for Alex. I suspect more people hate Andy than like him, thus Alex wins. Not as he is popular, but as he isn't Andy.

Replace Andy with whichever marmite character you want...works all ways.

This is how Sam won in bb14. Not so much as loads liked him. But because so many DISLIKED Dexter ;)

He is a white youngish hetero man white guy which makes him the default setting of most people. A 47 year old Muslim British Asian woman with a similar personality would have to overcome big differences: the Muslim, age, brown skinned and female to be relatable to mainstream. This is why Gos BB 4, Iffey Gloria BB 11 get labelled dull and boring, but Alex is the favourite despite being way way way more boring.

Basically Alex comes with no markers to difference (eg non white, older, religious) he is a blank canvas, vanilla, that only a young white straight guy can be. That's why Hollywood movies have this as the main protagonist, and not a middle aged woman of Bangladeshi origins, she's not seen as relatable to the masses.
