It's only 50% game-play, the other 50% is the public vote. Seeing as game playing is so frowned upon in this uneducated country it's hard for housemates to openly do this and have the support from the public.

No matter how well you play the game, avoid nominations and eventually reach the final, your hard work would be jeopardised due to someone being "nice", "good looking" or "disabled"

Do you agree that Big Brother is only 50% gameshow? Poll coming

Seeing as the first gameplayer in the history of the show got ejected for exactly that ~ No. Not at all. It was a social experiment-turned reality tv show-turned freakshow for Z listers.

Hmm, I dunno.

Remember BB1 singing.... "it's only a gameshow, it's only a gameshow!", so even the BB1 cast knew it was a gameshow.

It was never really fully a social experiment.

@sassyfox I still think it's to do with people not being educated and you haven't answered the question

No, i don't think its a game show. It's a walk in a park if you are a certain type of person.

I don't believe you can realistically win with a strategy. Its just a personality contest really.

Sidenote, I clicked no because i believe its less than 50% and some people probably clicked no because they think its more than 50%. Your poll doesn't really show anything..

Didn't realise, thanks. If you are one of these people then please mention it in your post

Um, yeah you did. The UK is far from uneducated. Culturally, winning at any cost is an American concept that Brits just don't believe in, and that has nothing to do with being educated.

I actually come here to get away from this. It's so refreshing with what has been going on here lately

Wish we had more normal tasks and less of the ones about exposing people's pasts, etc. The games they had today were fun to watch. Not looking forward to annihilation week...

it's a gameshow which nobody is actually allowed to play from fear of being evicted by the public

Some good replies.

It's also a game show that you cannot play because the diary room isn't sacrosanct-the only game player is the smarmy, production team- aka BB.

With no unique USP it's doomed to be binned.
