Any expectations that without Charlie Jason would have no story line, would provide no entertainment and would be a boring housemates were wrong. Any theories that he needed Charlie in the house for him to be relevant were wrong.

He has been a major player in the house since Charlie left. He provided the biggest jaw dropping moment of the series so far this week IMO. He has become the one that every housemate are now focused on. He has eradicated three of the most controversial characters, taken twenty grand from the prize money and still managed to stay in the house. And he's done it all with out even raising his voice.

What a brilliant housemate he is.

Who needs Andrew as the mastermind game player

I know...

Andrew wasn't in same league as Jason....he blew his cover day one in the main house....I was excited to have a self professed game player again for a change....but I realise now that if you're gonna be a good game player, rule number one, don't go around telling people about it.
Jason had Lateysha as his target all along yet gave no indication of that in the annihilation week tasks...he kept his enemy in the dark then hit her where it hurts at the point where she could do nothing to repair it.

Excellent post...agree 100%...it makes you realise how suppressed he was with his looney tune ex in the house!

You forgot to mention the expectation that he would prove himself to be a nice guy, who isn't game playing... I guess that was wrong too, right? :hee:

:laugh: had to get one in didn't ya ?

Tbh honest I didn't forget I just don't consider it relevant because my fave type of housemate is a good game player....and my idea of a good game player is one who keeps their cool, don't have a sob story and don't get their kit off soley for votes....in other words the opposite of Latetsha and her kind.
My ideal game player is all the above but with humour.....on other words Andy.

As for being a nice guy, ive thought that he was from the get go. But this post is about the changes people expected after Charlie left and proving himself to be a nice guy wasn't one of them, in fact all of his detractors thought the opposite and had the expectation that her absence would prove him to be a bad guy....and in their eyes he has. But every other prediction that was made didn't happen.

I'm gonna start playing the game now.

Famous last words : Chelsea, Alex, Jackson, Jason, Jayne, Lateysha.

So far, Jason the only one to back their word up with action.

I don't even totally disagree tbh, I'm kind of indifferent to Jason, I just felt like throwing a spanner in the thread  :hehe:

Although Kaz, I do think that he's probably, at the very least, had the game in the back of his mind throughout, just because I find it hard to believe that he'd suddenly go from not playing it, to playing it, in the space of one task.
I don't think that in itself is even a bad thing, but I would probably like him more if he'd been honest about it.

Spanners are good

I agree that he will have intended to fight for a place in the final from the start ....I don't know how someone as good as he is has managed to keep it under wraps for so long, but I guess that is how it works. Stand back and watch while the others take a swipe at it, watch them balls it up one by one then come sprinting up from the back.

Don't forget he's had good edits and sympathy because he's clearly scared of an ex girlfriend. As someone said before, Laura's done better because started out being hated because she did something a woman in the house isn't allowed to do, namely be attractive to a bloke in the house, avoided being kicked out first specifically because she was attractive to a guy and then managed to stay in the house/relevant/entertaining/popular with all the hms' all the way to the final week.

He's done one thing which will cause him to be evicted next week when he could have won the whole thing, hardly defied expectations has he? There's not really a story there without Charlie, just an event that happened.

Oh if this was only true, sadly it couldn't be any further from reality that if was from the pages of some fictional blog under the heading, 'wishful thinking'

Firstly, his option for going Lateysha was purely based on survival- eat or be eaten, it wasn't a brilliant tactical decision where he thought ' Right, that biatch has been heading a click over there and she needs taking out' He did it because he wanted to stay in another day. ( I don't believe he pressed the button the fastest) But it was convenient for BB to let a big character to go to get the 'annihilation' week off to a recognised start and I would hazard a guess that BB knew that he was going to go after Lateysha. Yes, it was great viewing but let's not get carried away with blowing smoke up Jason's arris unnecessarily.

Last night's eviction, I doubt Jason did count how the votes could go, he looked to be quick to get the card out of the envelope with the No 2 written on it.

And here again, his reason for picking Ryan was a personal one, nothing to do with playing the game. As he was saying this evening, 'he's a reformed character'- with a 20 year old daughter, he doesn't want to hear people disrespecting women or men for that matter.

Just a guy with old fashioned views, not the master game player you would have him to be, yes both evictions have shed some good light on him and the hm's that have gone have set tongues wagging but he is so far from being the genial mastermind you have portrayed him as.
