View Full Version : Does anyone else find Hughie vastly overrated?
Jason.

I don't get the appeal for him whatsoever. He was okay at first but he got incredibly tiresome quickly and now I can't stand him anymore. He's a very one-note housemate and his only claim to airtime is shouting at someone and then walking away before they even get a word in edgeways. I just find him really irritating and god knows why he's favourite to win the show but he probably will. :bored:

Massively and his whining is annoying and not forgetting his fake showmance with ryan was awful.

I loved him for the majority of the series but this past week he's got on my nuts, he's become quite arrogant since he got in with the clique, but this week he's been at his worst and I fully believe that if anyone else had drank Alex's lager last night like Hughie did, there would have been murder, especially if someone like Andy or Jason had done it.

I find him overrated in the fact that I don't think he's an amazing housemate but I still prefer him to all of the other males this series and think he'd be a worthy winner.
I loved his feud with Natalie but after that he's been very up and down and has annoyed me at times.

He was one of my main favourites for the first three weeks or so, but lately I can't abide him. He's very one-dimensional and he's become quite arrogant too as I think he believes he's going to win (which he probably will :bored:). The showmance with that turd Ryan and joining the clique was the death of him.

This but i never really enjoyed him anyway, He has annoyed me throughout. His aggressive shouting and whining when he doesn't listen to others is so tiring now.

Yes...the boy who called Natalie a trouble making foowal has left the building ....I've stopped clinging onto those times and choose to look at the Hughie we've seen since and it's not been as good.

A bit, but not as overrated as housemates such as Jackson and Alex but I wouldn't mind Hughie wining

Thought he'd be a knob on launch, turned out to be my week 1-3 favourite and I was rooting for his victory, will still be pleased if he wins, but I don't care about him much now, and if he wins that pleases Ryan so **** that.
Drew.

He's had a few moments where hes done things i've not agreed with but he's entertained me & been one of the only consistent ones throughout the whole series

I quite like him and I wouldn't mind if he won, but I don't think he's THAT great. But I think at least we know the real Hughie, and he deserves some respect/to be rated highly, for being natural and showing his true self in that environment, whereas someone like Jason who I feel has hidden/is hiding a lot of his personality doesn't deserve to be rated quite as highly as he is, and I would say he's more overrated than Hughie.

you guys are on form :joker:
hughie - pretty much indifferent to him, hate his shouting and though i'm dead against his treatment of jason i understand where he's coming from in his own perspective. overall he's far from my favourite but, as an identity within the house, stands out way beyond alex, jackson and sam.
what he has going for him is a very winning smile - the kind that when it's genuine makes me want to smile too... that may have some relevance to his likeability: if a housemate can make you smile with them, it's harder to dislike them

I dont think hes over rated, you rarely hear people fight for him, Jason is the most over rated imo. Like Jason is fine, but people are obsessed with him. I think Huhie fans just think hes the best of a bad bunch which is closer to the truth.

I think people give him the gay diva pass, like Nadia got. He is pretty tedious, but BB seems intent on giving him promotion so they obviously like him as a potential winner. I think he's be one of the worst.

Generally think his heart is in the right place and he suffers from having an annoying accent more than anything. That and his grasp on insults leaves much to be desired (trouble starter... lie maker... gossip spreader... whatever he says).

Absolutely agree with most of you, it's the way he screams at people & talk over people when they are trying say there point of view, that really winds me up, as for the romance with Ryan I can't make up my mind if it's for real or if it's fake.
the only hm to move me,so no he's not overrated!
