Was he told he would lose it if he walked?

Who knows? Could be. But he's quite well off. Don't think he would be bothered about the money.

Most probably, the producers want him to stay and punch someone for ratings/headlines

I was just surmising...it seemed strange that Jason changed his mind about walking after a session in the diary room. It occured to me that maybe if you walk, you have to forfeit any winnings.

Why did he press the buzzer so fast then :joker:

To save himself. If he hadn't the others would have got him out.

From tonight's showing and his miserable past month and a half why didn't he let them then? He obviously wanted the cash

Interesting Liam Gough just said in his year they would lose the cash if they walked or were kicked out so you could be into something Daffodil

he said at the time the money would go towards helping someone - i'm just hoping he doesn't mean to give it to charlie to help her get on with her life

if he was genuine, and i believe him 100%, then it could be the reason he didn't walk - maybe he's putting someone else before himself as he does a whole lot (too much?) of the time.

didn't that used to be the common rule anyway? they only got any money they'd won/prizes if they were evicted and forfeited otherwise, unless that was celeb BB

Yes and Rylan did say they could not confirm they did that with Jason, when Liam was there it was a different show and a channel 4 one ,so unless channel 5 confirm it it's just speculation

Get real...its all about the money.....its the only reason he is in there. Why else would, the type of guy he is, put himself through such humiliation experienced at times in that house.

No doubt in the contract they sign that you waver any fees or prize money if you leave voluntarily......that's the reason he stayed, the thought of losing 20k, even though adamant he was leaving.

Two thoughts:

1. He's not as well off as he makes out - because he admits to doing Extra work
2. He is well off, but is such a sad fame-hungry wannabe that he changed his mind about leaving very quickly - he does do Extra work, after all.

Why is it 'all about the money'?

I'm not disputing that the £20K wasn't one of the reasons why Jason pressed the button, but he said himself that the primary reason was to get rid of the biggest threat in the house - a very smart tactical move.

The Diary Room 'I want to leave' incident is a total 'Red Herring' because it is something which a lot of HM's have always done, and I suspect that Jason said it for the same reasons as Jayne and others said it - as part of their strategy, part of their Game Plan'.

But the problem there is he doesn't have a game plan....does he ? Hes never watched the show apparently...

There is 100K up for grabs when you enter the house, no doubt a good incentive to even audition and basically lay yourself open to humiliation, confrontation and all that BB and fellow HMs put you through. I cant imagine Jason going in there for any other reason than the money. He doesn't come across as a fame hungry wannnbe, hes pretty non descript personality wise and I'm not sure in what field he would follow within the media to go anywhere following the show.

He wants to win that money and badly....

Surely it does not matter if he wants either fame or money.
EVERYBODY in that house wants it too so why slate Jason
Lateysha was very open about wanting to win the cash.
The difference between Jason & many of the others is that he is older & has worked hard while most in there have never even had a proper job.
BB brought him wanting to walk on themselves by making a lot of the BB News task about him. What did they expect ?.
Some in that house like Hughie are getting nothing thrown at them.
It's again being manipulated towards certain HM's winning/being evicted.

They said last night he was in the diary room an hour and forty minutes. It's most likely big brother simply talked him out of walking, which they try to do with everyone who wants to walk.

If they don't want him to walk they need to stop picking on him :fist:
