...have been so, so bad.

Like, not the actual themes or concepts of the tasks themselves - but more the premise of them all. Literally every single one of them I can remember has been one of the following: cover yourself in some form of gunge, eat sh*t to make you vomit, hear what this housemate said about you, answer this negative question with the name of someone else, find out what the viewers think of you, get contact from the outside world.

It's tedious and uninventive. What happened to the days where tasks used to be imaginative or lasted for several days? Even simple concepts like the box task or standing on a podium or trying to hold milk in an emptying container while someone secretly tried to sabotage it were some of the best. It's time they brought back more of the endurance tasks tbh

Big Brother used to lead the way in the task department and I'm A Celebrity were constantly stealing their ideas but it seems it's now the other way round what with all of the disgusting food tasks :umm2: like that banana through the tights thing made me feel physically sick - it isn't entertaining in the slightest

The series has been great but the tasks have been the worst ever IMO

I was about to argue a case in favour of the office task but then again a solid 50% of that was about nominations

Every series since BB15 has had awful tasks so it's not a surprise

I loved the office task (the only one that was original). I want more tasks that are themed and last more than 24 hours, hopefully without any stupid opinions

The office task was good but yet again it involved listening to what other people have said about you

It's not the theming that's the problem because on that front it's been quite good - it's the repetitive and tedious nature of the premise of the tasks

I actually think BB15 had worse tasks than this series because literally 90% of them involved revealing someones nominations

Honestly don't even know why they bother with them anymore. Even on the rare occassion housemates fail they still reward them throughout the week with food and parties to make up for it.

Yeah, this

They've been on another level of bad this series

yeah it's the constant feedback loop that started around BB14/15.

You're right and it's annoying than people on a forum could come up with far better ideas than the actual producers

I liked the office task, we need more tasks like this that last 2-3 days like the C4 days.

The office task was a great conceptually, but let down by using it to reveal nominations. I agree that we need much more diversity in tasks.

I want tasks that embarrasses and humilate them NOT just ones that will make them argue, I want to laugh at them

AGAIN with this repetitive crap, for **** sake give it a rest

Kudos to some of them for thinking it was bull**** too :clap1: I wish they'd do this more and just give stupid answers

Pete.

Maybe they should not do a task a day but I feel like they need to for content :omgno:

And on the live feed here we go again, turning what should be a fun awards task into an excuse to cause drama by making Andy's nomination for 'best rant' be one he had this morning about Hughie that hasn't even been aired yet instead of one of the multiple early ones

FFS GIVE IT A REST

Tbf most of their tasks nowadays involve humiliation - the endless gunging, pouring fish down your pants, rancid food eating challenges, etc - it's the fact that they can't do any task anymore without the tiresome "who do you think is the most two-faced" or revealing noms to force drama.

The one task that wasn't revolved around drama resolved with Jayne's near death experience.

I feel like the decline in tasks was around BB15? BB14 had some great few day themed tasks. I remember them having a huge mother*****ing tunnel from the bedroom to garden so housemates wouldn't be exposed to the 'zombie virus'.

I totally agree and it's such a shame when you look at the standard that other countries have set (I mean, I'd take a hologram host over the latest **** stirring attempt/gunge and fish guts task any day).

Yeah I think this has been the worst series ever for tasks. For the most part they haven't even tried to be original or innovative with them.
It's a good job the cast has been so superb.
