View Full Version : It hardly hit her throat

Dramatic much? And for someone "knocked out" she was fine swimming. She had a panic attack, that was it.

She said it in the heat of the moment after regaining consciousness, she was probably just trying to work out what happened and jumped to that as her logical conclusion.
I agree it seemed like more of a panic attack/nervous collapse

oh she only had a panic attack in the water then, nothing major
Greg!
21-07-2016, 09:26 PM
I don't get the whole "she's acting" thing. The only person who said she was knocked out was Hughie. It hit her throat which could be really sore
Pete.

As if experienced medics would be treating it that seriously if it was fake?

Thank you! It's like panic attacks aren't valid to some people.

It was Hughie that said that she's knocked out, and a blow to the throat probably knocked the wind out of her a bit which would hurt, can't believe some people saying she's faking it

A panic attack can be very major, especially in the water.

Well she wasn't the one saying she was knocked out so that's not really something you can lay at her door.
She had a panic attack, that was it.
Yeah I'm really quite bothered by the thought of someone treating a panic attack like it's not something to be taken seriously.

I think that's what infuriates me the most; nobody, outside or inside is taking it very seriously at all. The incident with Jackson was an unfortunate coincidence, nobody seems to acknowledge the fact that she was already unwell before the incident happened.

She was clearly in a bad way and couldn't breath....unfortunate thing to happen for her and for Jackson....Jason didn't hesitate to jump in and help her...could have been worse so it's just good all round that everything was ok in the end. No one wants to see them get hurt in any way.

Well that's not true ...Jason took it very seriously in the house and loads of people outside of the house recognise how serious it was and how more serious it could have been, esp if Jason hasn't acted so fast. I'm really glad she's back and she's ok.

She didn't want to do it, and that was her way out.
It was a sponge not a fupping building brick.
I like Jayne best out of all of them in there but that was a massive put on.

Did the sponge hit her in the throat or head? Either way the whole task was a disaster waiting to happen..
LaLaLand
21-07-2016, 10:46 PM
The sponge hit her HELMET hard which shoved the helmet over and pushing the helmet's strap under her chin into her neck/throat which made her panic.

That's true it could have been the strap, because I thought the sponge hit her head ..sponge gate

Some of the posts on this thread are just unbelievable. Panic attack. Rubbish. The windpipe is a delicate and vulnerable area. A relatively low level blow would cause a sensations of loss of breathing and yes that would justifiably cause panic.
Some posts are a terrible example of mind boggling ignorance.

It was weird because it didn't really look like anything hit her neck. The sponge hit her head and the strap was under her chin. But she certainly seemed distressed when she got out of the water.
I thought Jason was quite heroic, putting her in the recovery position and all.

This looks completely staged to me, and Jane had a bout of very bad acting. They are all false attention seekers, including her, especially her. But, she did apparently go to hospital so it must have been something.

Firstly, she said something hit her throat, and I'm thinking that something was the strap of the helmet pulling against her neck after the sponge hit the helmet.
Hughie said she was knocked out, not Jayne or the medics. Jayne was in a panic and flustered before she started the task.
Having a panic attack, being hit in the head, something catching your neck, falling into a cold pool, is enough to shake anyone up.
That's pretty much how I interpreted what happened too Sassy.
The sponge hit her helmet, slightly forced the helmet higher up her head and 'tightened' the strap into her throat/neck.
She definitely WAS suppressing irrational fear prior to stepping onto the 'bridge' so I believe it WAS a panic attack.
I do not believe that she ever lost consciousness because she was 'treading and paddling' the water, but - as you say - she NEVER claimed as much, and it WAS Hughie who shouted; "She's been knocked out".
No hospital will release any A & E patient until they are certain that it is safe to do so, and it is almost certain - with lawsuits in mind - that the BB producers will have been 'over-cautious' in ensuring that WAS the case with the 49 year old, slightly built and fragile Jayne, so 5 hours including 'round trip' travel time, is not particularly significant.
Jake.

..very much this...her voice did show that she had, had a blow to the throat in it's huskiness...and I think that she had a panic attack, which would have been awful for her ....

It didn't hit her throat, but the force of the one that hit her head could easily have pulled the neck thing into her throat.
Either way, I think it was pretty genuine. Even if it was 'just' a panic attack, she needed help. WTF was all of the running in circles and screaming about. Only Jason seemed to actually help instead of flapping :bored:

The strap was pretty tight under her chin/throat area, she wasn't looking towards the sponge but she felt like something had smacked her throat which is understandable considering the only thing keeping the helmet on her head was the strap.. on her throat..

The lack of empathy for someone who was clearly distressed is actually quite worrying. People need to remember this is just a TV, I mean to dislike someone so much that your first thought when they're in that state is to assume they're doing it for attention :/.

The bits that made me laugh was everyone thinking shed been knocked unconscious yet if you notice, she turned herself onto her back in the water
and her right arm stretched out to wade away a little with it so not really unconscious. She probably overplayed it too
but the daft bit was them
thinking she was unconscious
because you cant turn yourself onto your back to swim away if you are unconscious ?
