It's one thing to show nominations, but shouldn't the DR be a safe place for housemates to vent, like a church confessional? Isn't that the point? The show, IMO, is really pushing it now by showing EVERYTHING, just to get a row.

if I was in the house, I'd refuse to use the DR.
Only time I go in is for nominations or when BB demands it. But even then I would be careful with my words as I know all my convos could be played to the HMs.

I don't understand why they have DR now, what's the point. Some HMs are so gullible they vent their heart out, either they dun care it will be played back or they never watched the show before.

I liked it when it used to be "Everything said in the DR is private and confidential - between Big Brother and ______". Now it seems they just play back different DR conversations and nominations basically every week. Messy

No it ruins the whole point of the diary room. The rows aren't even that entertaining to me because they just reek of desperation from producers

That was in the old days when BB showed some responsibility. The production team and rule makers of BB now seem like a bunch of kids, the type who enjoy pulling wings off flies:shrug:

If a housemates wants to bitch, but doesn't want the rest of the house to know, then this probably isn't the show for them.

It not like the housemates won't see what the viewers see when they leave the house.

That's not the point. It affects the game. HMs will be more careful with what they say. It ruins it.

This is reminding me how people can just break out of the house and are sent back in. There are no rules and standards anymore. They don't even look out for safety. Evelyn shoving herself in that suitcase and they said nothing, that bridge/sponge game was an accident waiting to happen. The show is getting lazy, stupid, and reckless.

Of course it affects the game, that's why they do it....

HMs will be more careful with what they say. It ruins it.

Like they have been already?

This is reminding me how people can just break out of the house and are sent back in.

That's nothing new

There are no rules and standards anymore.

The game on C5 is not the same game that was on C4 they even said this year the rules had changed, perhaps you missed that part.

They don't even look out for safety. Evelyn shoving herself in that suitcase and they said nothing,

I agree with you on this part

that bridge/sponge game was an accident waiting to happen.

Most physical games could be deemed as an accident waiting to happen.

The show is getting lazy, stupid, and reckless.

The game changing doesn't mean it's lazy, stupid or reckless, it means the game is changing.

If you don't like the way it's played now then fine.
