View Full Version : Character assassination?
I felt both Jason and especially Andy were really trying to ruin Hughie's chances of winning tonight by defaming his character.
Andy tried to do it the DR in the morning and in the fight it was even more clear that this was his goal.
Even if the things they were saying about being "immature" and "inconsiderate" are true, I felt they really were milking it and making him look really bad by bringing out his flaws, if that makes sense?
Hughie is not the only one that didn't get out of bed yet he got the most blame? And it had nothing to do with Andy.
Is it because he is a threat?

Well, clearly Hughie has a reputation for being loud, argumentative, and so forth. That comes through not only within the house dynamics but also as a character for the viewers. Jason and Andy are just stating the obvious and what we, the viewers, have been seeing throughout the series. Not much of a character assassination but more like a validation of what Hughie, as a character, is.
That being said, it won't ruin his chances whatsoever. There's only one horse in this race and that's Hughie all the way.

Depending on who you ask, of course. Hughie fans will cast Andy as the villain; and Andy fans will cast Hughie as the villains.
To me they're both very stubborn and strong willed people. Whenyou have two, or more, of these types of people in one restrictive environment there's bound to be conflict between them.

HUghie for the win, or at least to place higher than Andy and Jason.

I think Hughie and the other housemates in bed were very selfish not to get up and lose the people up for eviction power and hot water.

Well the fact that by the end of the night he seemed to be accepting his critique from them...with Alex telling him too (in his meek little way)...that's probably helped him.
However only because their critisism was followed by compliments...he was able to take it.
Hughie is a nasty immature individual with no respect for others...a truly undeserving winner.

I found it really creepy when Jason and Alex tried to "take out the rough edges" in the Garden in their conversation with Hughie.:umm2:
Only Jackson and Sam seemed to treat Hughie like a Human Being tonight.
Andy being the vile human being he is, a really bad episode for him tonight
I take it you didn't watch him getting the most deserving winner award from 4 of the HM's then, even after the arguments? :joker:

Is it because he is a threat?how can it be defamation of character when it's patently self-evident and viewers are seeing it for themselves? it can't.

That's because Sam and Jackson are weak and pathetic....they are scared of Hughie blowing up at them.

The opposite in fact ...bad episode for Hughue....his rant on screen about Jason made him look terrible and it gave the others ammunition to go at him.

Alex, Jakson, Jayne and Jason picked Andy as their winner, who are all contenders themselves.....only person who picked Hughie was Sam, the biggest nob head in the house.
