I bought something on Ebay for £2.99. But when it arrived it wasn't as I expected so I sent a message to the seller.
He basically said, 'don't blame us, you bought the wrong one!'
And if that wasn't rude enough, when I sent another message asking to return the item for a refund, he then replied, 'get stuffed or apologise to me first!' :hehe:
Quite frankly I couldn't be bothered with the hassle or his bizarre attitude, so I gave the product to a friend.
But I could have reported the seller for being nasty and rude. :fist:

Just give him a bad review, he won't like that :fist:

I wouldn't bother with bad feedback for something 2.99 tbh. But the attitude, I would give bad feedback for.

Yeah but he sounds crazy. He knows where I live. He sounds mad enough to get in his car and drive 200 miles to sort me out.

Appalling person. It was only a data cable.

I love ebay, you can get your money back on anything and keep the item. Just open up a dispute in the resolution center.

This can also be a pain in the arse when people file false disputes

I hate ebay for the very same reason...I got a chargeback a few years back even though I had signature proof that the item was delivered (claimed it wasn't received, not claiming defective or anything) and ebay decided in their favour.
I now know its really not worth selling anything of value on there as ebay side with the scammers.

I really just can't understand the mentality, it's no different to shop lifting, a lot of eBay sellers are sole traders who can't afford to lose stock :bored: if you can't pay for it why not do without it?

Yes give him a bad review they hate that. One seller once spent 2-3 weeks asking me to remove the bad review. It felt good getting their desperate emails knowing I wouldn't remove the review and it was just about a phone case :laugh:I think I posted about it in little things that irritate you thread. If you feel he could show up to your house I think you can report him.

Yeah, I stopped selling on Ebay too. Not worth it unless you have a shop there. Although.. I think if you done signed for delivery and gave a tracking code, this wouldnt have happened.

I dont, it was sarcasm. We need a sarcasm emoji. (I havent actually used Ebay for about 2 years after getting ripped off in the same way one too many times)

They are ripping you off 9/10 times yes.
Don't do this!!!
I would actually recommend getting your money back in the OP's case - an item youre dissatisfied by and an entirely rude seller
Sorry for causing such a ruckus haha.

This is what I did :suspect:
I know someone who did the same as me AND got positive feedback on their ebay from the buyer, and then had the payment clawed back from them for non-delivery
I laugh, but its not funny really..
Edit. Though ebay didn't refund the buyer, paypal did. But this was when they were both the same company pretty much

Nah, I will prove I am better than him by moving on.

I've had a chargeback too. For £280. I took my case to the Financial Ombudsman. Paypal lost and had to repay me the money.:cheer2:
I highly doubt that.
Thanks.

And people should give bad reviews as well, they're really helpful when you're thinking of buying something, I always read the reviews and if there's alot of bad ones I won't buy from that person

Did the buyer have a stated returns process on the listing?
If so instigate a returns process
If they did not ( and most do) just relist the item yourself and make sure that you give the buyer a negative (it sounds like he could have many already so another wont make a difference).

I would do that if it were something costing more than £5, but as I say I have given the cable to a friend so, it's OK. :)
