They are but if you are a celeb on a show like Strictly you owe the audience the truth no some coy rubbish and lies "Im leaving with joy in my heart"
give me a break and just say why you left. I have no idea who is advising him but all this does is add fuel to the "he left in a flounce because he could not take critique"

I blame the BBC tbh
They should have stood up to him and told him that "personal reasons " is not good enough for the fans/audience and that he has to give a proper reason. He has been vocal in the past talking about his demons so its not like he has no previous.
They let John Seargent off the hook with his "Im taking votes from real dancers" bolloxio only to later find out that he was booked on a very lucrative speaking date on a cruise and he did not want to miss it.
the 2 media experts I have heard so far on the radio this morning have both agreed with my view so I am not alone.

..I can't actually believe that we're having this conversation, LT......the nation needs to know and should know what Will Young's personal reasons are for leaving an entertainment dance show...but privacy is questioned with a lesser celebrity of a US presidential candidate when discussing sexual assault in a conversation as being his practise...how weird...

really?
"Young, 37, sent a text to BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show host Chris Evans (today) after quitting the contest, which was read out on air.
It said: "Here's the thing. I'm absolutely dandy, thanks. It's all very undramatic, really.
"I've done my statement and others can say what they want to say. I never read what they say anyway (more lies)."

Reminded me of his pop idol days when he would argue with Simon Cowell as he refused to believe he was anything but exceptional but to argue with len was a joke of course len knows a lot more than him about dance I feEl he can't accept criticism and I'm glad he is out I feel bad for Karen because I really like her but I hope tameka gets a 2nd chance now

i agree with you, and i don't think Tameka will get a second chance, because they have never done that before, bring a celeb back, so i don't think they will do that now :)
Karen is a good dancer, she finally had someone who could've gone really far in the competition, and he just quits for personal reasons :(

Its not his personal life its the reason why he dumped his dance partner, left strictly, threw the show into a spin and let down all the people who voted for him.
No one cares about his "personal life" but they do want to know why he flounced off the show

Was LT furiously voting for Will :worry: I agree that given it's a programme that relies on viewer votes he might have been a bit more forthcoming, saying he is fine and dandy in the same breath as I quit does seem like a flounce and he should be replaced as it's not fair on his dance partner

I don't watch the show so wouldn't of known he quit. Maybe he's received bad family news or some kind of illness, or maybe he secretly wasn't happy on the show
Either way he wasn't that good a dancer :idc:
.And I'm not really a fan of his ever since he wrongly beat Gareth Gates in pop idol ( I think Gareth Gates should of won , I wasn't into will Young's singing :notimpressed: )

He has a long history of issues...could be he found the show too much and decided to leave to stop himself getting stressed. He really shouldnt have to address it.
I do think his reply to Chris Evans was a tad aloof but I still dont think he owes anyone an explanation.
I wanted Will to do well and would have voted him if I had remembered to before voting closed, so I should have reason to stick up for him, but am very apt to agree with you on this one, LT, because firstly, anyone going on such shows knows what the shows entail to a degree, so know what to expect, so if they no matter how big a fan of a show have even an inkling they won't hack it should turn down the offer of going on there, thus giving Celebs who really would love the chance to compete a chance in their place.
If it was something really bad that caused Will Young to depart the show, then I could understand that, but going by his text to Chris Evans on his show it doesn't look so, so am a bit annoyed for those fans who have have shelled out money to keep him in,who could have saved on their phone bills instead.
That said, I do still wish Will well if he found he just couldn't handle the show and it began to affect his health, but just wish he had turned the show down in the first place, giving another Celeb a chance on there.

Will Young's Strictly pay cheque has reportedly been slashed since he departed the show on Tuesday.
A show insider told The Sun that BBC bosses have taken his pay from a whopping £25,000 down to just £5,000 after he broke his contract as its claimed he only quit for fear he would not win.

Will Young quit Strictly after 'infuriating squabbles' with Karen
Will Young has called time on his Strictly Come Dancing stint due to constant clashes with his dance partner Karen Clifton, new reports claim.
The Leave Right Now singer had reportedly become 'fed up' with the Venezuelan pro telling him what to do - resulting in the pair 'squabbling' during rehearsal, according to The Mirror.
The new claims come as the 37-year-old, who cited 'personal reasons' and 'anxiety' as reason for his departure, prepares to air an interview on Friday which discusses his crippling battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
