You're not wrong. On 2 different occasions yesterday people spoke to me about it, and that never happens these days! I don't even know anyone who watches it
I doubt it'll stay there tonight. People were after some sort of aftermath from the argument and they got a little spat and Cosmo throwing a tantrum about wearing latex.

Monday 9th- 2.25m (1.7m)
Tuesday 10th- 2.20m (1.7m)
Weds 11th- 2.26m (1.7m)
Thurs 12th- 2.42m (1.9m)
Friday 13th PART 1- 2.33m (1.8m)
Friday PART 2- 2.15m (1.6m)
Saturday 14th- 2.12m (1.4m)
Sunday 15th- 2.39m (1.8m)
Week average- 2.27m incl +1
Series average- 2.27m incl +1
The week average is exactly the same as the average of the first week. This will be boosted a bit after the last few ratings. We should expect more 2.4m+ officials after the events from Kim-gate onwards... considering the officials we will see next week will be replicating the overnights of 1.8m, 1.9m, 2.1m, 2.1m, 1.8m, 1.6m, 1.2m and the 2.0m from last night so I'd assume 2.3, 2.4m, 2.6m, 2.6m, 2.3m, 2.1m, 1.8m and 2.5m.

When big brother was MUCH bigger and a must see show? The audience is so casual now, they have to play to them. They go out on Fridays & Saturdays, hence the lower ratings

Worst Jan was actually CBB9 with 2.6m, so it will be the worst winter, but it's held much better than any other series judging by this last week so far (excl CBB13)
You're right, I think I looked at the summer series - this series is doing well though and actually very consistent (consistantly on the up as well)
Since that Kim episode it's stayed around 2 million most nights and even in officials they've stayed higher each time. Much like last January, it's just gone up slightly almost every week to end up actually doing quite well but the bad start will keep the average down
It really is no exaggeration to say that Kim single handidly saved the series. How can she not win? :clap1:

Pleasantly surprised the penultimate episode is yet again one of the highest since launch. Though launch wasn't that high a figure to be fair. If the final hadn't been a Friday, I'd say it could've topped it but Fridays never rate well these days.. I'll predict 2.1m as well

Won't happen. A highlights episode could consolidate 800k but there's not really much to catch up on in a launch / final when everyone knows the result. For example, Kim's adulterer moment was 2.1 overnight and 2.8 officially while the launch was 2.3 then 2.78
Last January's final went from 2.7 to 3 million while the final highlights went from 2.5 to 3.03 million

The lowest winter final rating </3
*mazedsalv**
04-02-2017, 12:43 PM
In the context of the series, that ain't bad really. It launched with 2.3m and ended with 2.2m. Given the fact Kim's episode got 2.79m against the official launch rating of 2.77m is impressive.
Finale's usually don't timeshift much (same as launch) so I'm expecting 2.5m.
Either way we are looking at around a 2.4m official average i think (we are at 2.32m at the moment) but the last 10 days of officials should bring it to 2.35m+ easily.

Expected with such an awful rating for launch.
Worth noting:
CBB18 Launched with MORE than CBB19. It got 2.36m, whereas CBB19 got 2.32m.
CBB18 final ended with 1.80m.
CBB19 ends with 2.20m.

i mean idk if comparing summer series to winter ones can really be done but you have to remember that both CBB10/12 launched with 2.7+ million viewers for their launches overnight and officially averaged 2.2/2.3 respectively

I know, that's the embarrassing thing, that last summer launched with more than this winter one. What I mean is that this series held onto pretty much 100% and did the best thing possible with the awful rating it launched with.

I'd say the ratings show that the public generally don't like, or are indifferent to, the idea of All-Stars series.
So 2.3 is the size of the loyal CBB audience and 1.5 is the size of the loyal civilian audience?

I would agree, but the people who gave it a go stayed with it during the whole series judging by the viewing figures.
But people decided not to watch the launch due to All Stars I agree, but like I said, the ones who gave launch a go, stuck around.... well especially when Kim went in.
If people disliked the series after giving it a go, it would have dropped and not be one of the most consistent series in the 17year history.
I don't think CBB20 will be any lower than usual. Summer CBB is kind of like the general fans of the show who want to see old housemates back in. It just depends what kind of cast they get. The fact people like Rhian Sudgen are already rumoured doesn't fill me with much confidence though.

I'd say in terms of overnights, more like 2.2 and 1.3m.
Officials more like 2.6m and 1.6m

Interesting that there's a difference of 1 million people separating CBB and BB. I guess people really just aren't interested in normal people on television anymore.

I think it has more to do with the fact that there were no celebrities in this cast. The closest thing to one was an obscure character actor. The lack of star power meant that only the most hard core viewers bothered to watch, which explains the low ratings but high viewer retention.

Not bad overall, thought it'd be around that figure
Deserved more but it managed to recover from being a ratings disaster I guess.

Ratings disaster tbh, another all stars probably isn't the best idea. They would have got much better ratings if it were just Ray J, kim woodburn, james cosmo & no all stars.
