Joel… existed? He talked to Marsha the Moose a few times? He did that stupid pointy finger gun thing for the cameras? He made it way too far? idk I’m kind of at an end as to discussion of Joel, because I never found him all that special. But thankfully, others disagree, and they looked beneath his ridiculous hair to see the sweet geek beneath. And to his credit, he wasn’t as dreadful as the reality TV geek often is, in that he knew how to be modest and he didn’t win (see: Ian Terry, Steve Moses, Cochran, ad infinitum). Otherwise, let’s move on.

Sophie Grad-off, more like (y'know, given that she quit the show and all) (actually she's the one who went all lezzer on the show, right? History-making icon I guess  Or should that be bicon?) (if anyone else can add something of worth to Sophie's time on Love Island then that would be much appreciated thank you)

Sophie entered as one of the originals and the oldest contestant (she was only 30 mind), got with fellow original Tom and shagged him in a wardrobe (iconic). In the later stages of the series it somehow come down to the public voting to evict between Sophie and Tom (or voting to save icr) and Tom ended up getting evicted and Sophie stayed and rightfully so. After that she PLAYED THE GAME and coupled up with a newly arrived glamour model to ensure she wasn't evicted, then told said newly arrived glamour model she wasn't interested in pursuing anything with her since she had Tom on the outside. Said glamour model then spent a whole night screaming in Sophie's face and then the bullies of the show Terry and Emma Jayne bullied Sophie some more causing her to walk from the show a week before the final.

Mainly remembered for inadvertently slaying (in the archaic sense, not the ‘yass bitch you slay that old kween’ sense) Biggins just by being Jewish, Katie Waissel’s time in the Celebrity Big Brother house also saw her have a mini-meltdown over somebody insulting Amy Winehouse’s legacy somehow, and a slightly less mini-meltdown after Frankie Grande had the gall to nominate her. And then she was ousted alongside Sam Fox and the series got even worse, which I’m sure is no coincidence. And now she’s apparently split from her husband, which is sad, but maybe she’s just another victim of Grant Bovey’s lustful gaze and who could blame her?

Baby, are you ready for this cold war? Shaun sure is:

I don't think it's even debatable any more that Katya is (see me with them) hands down the biggest fan favourite from RuPaul's Drag Race of all time. Which is why it didn't come as much of a surprise when she was one of the first names leaked as taking part in season 2 of its Allstars spinoff. Now, many weren't expecting much since the first Allstars pretty much killed off any of the allure and fascination about any of its participants, and a further twist to the show's rules and format, but... well there's a reason she was getting tens of thousands of retweets to win. Ignoring that stumble where she wore a hideous silver matryoshka doll outfit for 'space age drag' (she was probably depressed after seeing what Lucian Piane had left her to work with whilst dressed as Princess ****ing Diana), Katya delivered every episode. If you're unfamiliar with the Drag Race scene, this link (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0GTj-CvG2U) should convince you to jump in (to the gorgeous waters of Darienne Lake). Your dad just calls her Katya.

The name Alex is a baby boy and baby girl name. The name Alex comes from the English origin. In English the meaning of the name Alex is: Abbreviation of the Greek name Alexander, meaning defender of mankind. The name is common among English, German and Dutch speakers.

(also her sister won, so does that make her the Nadiya Anderson of BB:OTT?)

Yay, a stone-cold Irish businesswoman robot bitch! It’s always fun to have one of those. It’s just a shame that Grainne had a few bugs in her system, be it the issue of invisibility in the first few episodes, be it her weakness when it comes to gin (and also answering phones), or be it her complete malfunction towards the end, resulting in her deciding she would quite like to take over her entire make-up industry and swiftly being dismissed. Thankfully, in the moments where she decided to work properly, we got to see her dressed as a mermaid, failing to sell boats in the second greatest Courtney-related double act of the series, and, um, dressed as a mermaid again, this time flogging a virtual reality game called Magic Shells. The Apprentice UK, everyone.

She might be hated on here for some unknown reason (is it because she told Gemma some home truths? idk). Stephangel is by far ONE of the best housemates of all time though, when people think of CBB17 they think of Miss Davis (FACT.). Steph was basically your average Scouse car alarm but instead of just being a gobby she was kind of unhinged and her messy antics resulted in some of the greatest moments ever in CBB. Steph telling Gemma she has no talent and screaming about her being 'The Lion King' at like five in the morning  Steph throwing milk everywhere and it pushing Christian from EastEnders near to tears  Steph throwing a HUGE tantrum in the diary room and having to be restrained by security  Steph being asked to leave the diary room so they could deal with #MentalMegz  (this is to just name a few.) I don't think anyone can deny she is one of the biggest housemates of all time. Miss Davis is 2016.

Highest from RuPaul's Drag Race

Psst Shaun, it’s Drag Race. You’re up:

Walking into the TiBB Reality Ranking 2k16 Game purse first comes the creatively named Bob the Drag Queen. Well, I suppose it's a little creative considering his real name is Christopher. Bob picked up a lot of buzz before season 8 of RuPaul's Drag Race aired, primarily for a YouTube video of him impersonating Viola Davis in 'How to Get Away With Murder' (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VyCTWDUj3zU), but also for an interesting comedic take on lipsynching (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4L00sx82Nw8). Sadly, she only needed to demonstrate her amazing lipsync skills twice - once to send home Derrick Barry, hallelujah, and the other in the final. What she did display leaves her a legendary winner, though: her scene-stealing performance as Cookie from Empire (although Thorgy was robbed), her Snatch Game impersonations of both Uzo Aduba AND Carol Channing, making a dress from a pair of curtains and running for President of the USA. She made us feel mighty real and she was never really in danger of losing the crown (except when the fanbase probably tipped in favour of Kim Chi but if you're ever going to get into watching Drag Race you're going to have to come to terms with the fact that the majority of the fans are shallow idiots).

Trust cluster mucking her way into the ranking next is Hannah Shapiro, aka beta Aubry Bracco, aka omega Sophierce Clarke, the millennial who couldn’t quite believe that Jeff Probst was really sat in front of her as if Erik Reichenbach died in the Philippines for nothing, who nearly became the first ever person to be medically evacuated whilst watching a challenge, who flirted non-stop with Ken because this show can’t edit a cute friendship between a man and a woman without implying that they might bone at one point or another, who took several years to cast her first vote at Tribal Council and no I am not exaggerating, who Did Not Do That, whose tribe went to rocks because they secretly didn’t want to lose her, for whom idols were laid down like lovers… and who lost in a unanimous vote despite putting up, at the very least, the joint-strongest fight at Tribal Council. Some jury that was.

Adam’s win was more than likely a case of being the jury’s favourite goat of the three at Final Tribal Council, rather than an example of his strategic prowess (like, “you tried to make #BIGMOVES and utterly failed, but at least you had a go, here’s a million dollars” is not a coherent argument no matter how many times it is repeated), and I for one had a bit of a like-love-meh-dislike-hate-loathe-BURNING HATRED-meh-like-eh relationship with him on the show, but he wasn’t the worst winner that there could have been and for that I’m grateful. I mean, Zeke could have won. Shudder at the thought. Adam’s game was really dominated through factors outside of his own control, namely his mother’s terminal illness, and it led to more than one very awkward moment during the season, none more so than at the reunion when Jeff segued from Adam crying his eyes out whilst recalling his mother’s last moments to peppily asking questions “Sunday, you’re a mom, and you played Survivor. Tell me – are you a witch?”. That aside, he was on the wrong side of several votes, threw away idols and advantages and had a… unique style of apologising to people, but he did have his likable moments and apparently he had a really good social game which justified him winning in the eyes of the jury, something which we only properly saw in the edit with Jay. Also, he got vaguely island hot (but not as island hot as DrunkGayBret, naturally), so all’s well that ends well.

Points: 73

Three Survivor facts you may not know: Ciera voted out her mom, Jay does have an idol, and that nice girl with the glasses should have won over the other girl and if not her then that little Asian man with the chicken he was funny I liked him what was his name was it Guy or Fi or Pie or something anyway he was good. By that, I mean that Aubry Woz Robbed, except she wasn’t because none of the jury knew that she was playing the game that she did and she’d failed to convince them of it by the time it came to Final Tribal Council, so her losing was her own fault and the jury were not bitter and Probst can shut his damn ***** mouth. That said, however, much like the season of Kaoh Rong itself, Aubry was still great! Her story arc of having a panic attack on the first day to forming bonds, to losing her allies one by one in circumstances which were not always game-related (which gave us her iconique Oregon Trail confessional), to gradually becoming a strategic mastermind and secretly being the brains behind almost every move – the secrecy of which is odd, considering she was actually on the Brains tribe to begin with – is one that resonated with many and showed what you can achieve when you believe in your dreams and reach for the stars and also have a voting advantage in the form of a 71-year old man (Joe <3). Not only this, but the brain/brawn/beauty alliance that Aubry had with Cydney and Michele was one of the many reasons that Kaoh Rong was such a strong season, and the fact that they all turned on one another at the end probably proves something but I’m not sure what. Will she continue to change the game next season? We’ll have to wait to find out.

Ah, Ken. The loyalty-insisting, squid-cooking, vinyl-listening, jungle-dwelling, wrongly-spelling, Paul-hating, Figtayls-deducing, phallic immunity necklace-wearing, legacy advantage-playing male model who wanted to make it very clear that he was not like other male models (sound familiar?) and who was placed onto the Gen X tribe, despite being a mere two years older than the millennial whose entire content insisted of “I PLAY VIDEO GAMES!”. It’s almost as if this entire theme was arbitrary and utterly pointless. But despite all of that, Ken was a surprising force for good in Fiji and a positive, occasionally lulzy, usually rootable figure who just wanted to fry up some seabass and listen to his records, dammit. Pre-merge, he seemed to be a strong strategic contender, before completely disappearing from the show at the merge (hi, Sherri Biethman’s edit!), which was disappointing, especially when, say, we wouldn’t get a confessional from him even when he won individual immunity. Maybe they’d filmed one and it went on for hours and hours, ending in him whipping out his copy of War and Peace and reading several chapters aloud to the camera, so they had to cut it. Who knows? Even though his game ended in a last-minute doing-it-for-his-daughter storyline and a loyalty-or-a-million-dollars storyline which ultimately failed to come to fruition when he received zero recognition from the jury, Ken’s existence was a nice respite from Jeff’s constant “millennials text differently and are cooler than you old people!” bull**** (reminder: Ken was 33 at time of filming), and despite him being a complete joke of a human in the best possible way, he provided some cute character moments in a season lacking them, such as his rousing speech about how he doesn’t like being called Ken Doll. Oh and he’s fit.

And thus the third wheel in the Kaoh Rong brain/brawn/beauty alliance falls; her name being Cydney Gillon. It’s fair to say that Cydney didn’t quite come out of the gate with all guns blazing, as she fastened herself to Scot and Jason of all bloody people, and voted out entertaining messes such as Jenny and Alecia, which is why it comes as no surprise that she wasn’t the immediate fan favourite that many expected her to be. However, her bond with the brutes turned out to be a wise move for her, as going into the merge she had a number of potential routes to take. Luckily for us, and luckily for Cydney’s place in the TiBB Reality Ranking, she chose to go with Michele, Aubry et al, slaying the likes of Nick, Debbie (</3), Scot, Julia and Jason in quick succession. Well, I say “the likes of” – that’s all of them. Plus, she gave good confessional, and we always like to see that in a Survivor player. Cydney’s game may have ended in fire and she may have been ignored at the reunion in favour of her own mother and Sia, but she turned out to be a great cog in the wheel of Kaoh Rong when at first she… didn’t seem to be going in that particular direction, and for that, she’s earned her place in the top 40.

Michaela didn’t last nearly as long as she was expected to in Millennials vs. Gen X, as despite strong, if not a little overly-enthusiastic gameplay and a seemingly winning – or, at least, deep-into-the-game edit, she was also a non-white woman, and was thus destined to leave pre-merge. I would say that she’ll be remembered forever more for her rather expressive reaction to being blindsided (and forgetting her shoes in the process), and she probably still will, but now we know that she’ll have a whole nother season to wrap her tatas around in the form of Game Changers. Despite, y’know, not really being a Game Changer. Will she manage to keep up, or even build, her legacy? Will she tone down her game, or go even harder this time? Will she remember her shoes? These questions will be answered in March, but for now, she remains your highest-ranked Millennials vs. Gen X-er, and that’s some high praise indeed. Well, ish.

If you didn’t vote for Hughie, you’re all TROUBLE-RAISING FOOELS, or so that impressionist they featured on BOTS literally every other night would quite like you to know. Sure, if you were a fan of Rodrigo and Charlie but always thought they were lacking Irish and Blackpool…ian accents respectively, then Hughie and Ryan’s, ahem, relationship would have been for you, but otherwise he was probably a rather loud background noise in the cacophony that was the BB17 house at worst. The fact that he was ever favourite to win does seem a tad odd now, but he helped to make The Others an actually-quite-good twist despite it having so much going against it, so that’s worth a little credit. And hey, he’s randomly doing Dancing With the Stars in Ireland now, so somebody must still like him. Or want to inflict lots of pain and humiliation onto him... who can say?

Forget Brexit, forget Trump, forget the hundreds and hundreds of beloved celebrities we lost – the true tragedy of 2016 was the time that Saira Khan lost a public vote against some no-mark from TOWIE, some no-mark from Ex on the Beach and some even bigger no-mark from some thing called Storage Hunters UK. Granted, she wasn't the amazeballs kween we were all praying that she would be, but she did provide a lot of entertaining moments. I just so happen to have completely blocked out the specifics of all of them, because CBB18 was that terrible a series and most of the moments involved her being mercilessly bullied. I do recall, however, her being absolutely bloody insane in the best possible sense, and also hating all the showmances, meaning that she's a girl after my own heart. <3

There’s nothing quite like a Survivor love story. Rob and Amber, Ethan and Jenna, erm… Whitney and Keith I guess, Billy and Candi-no never mind, but the most recent one is the one I’m about to discuss. Yes, it’s that point in the ranking where I suggest that a man had a romantic and sexual relationship with a chicken. Merry Christmas! No, I’m joking. It was merely sexual. It has to be said that Tai was an immediate fan favourite from Kaoh Rong, so his high placing here comes as no surprise. From his Ozzy-esque tree-climbing to whatever his thing was with Caleb, the gay Asian gardener made a strong first impression, and despite flip-flopping between alliances (which gave us the brilliant super idol moment) and receiving no votes at FTC, he continued to be a fun and interesting presence in the season. He’s also on Game Changers, which leads me to think that they may as well have just brought back all eighteen Kaoh Rong-ers for a larf.

Just kidding! I vaguely know who these people are. They won Love Island and they both decided to take love over cash in that end-of-series twist Love Island does which is always going to end in the same result so I'm not sure why they even bother. As far I can tell, they're still together, hence why I'm ranking them together. Although I imagine it'll cause a bit of #dramz that Cara got one point more than Nathan if they ever read this, which I can assure you that they bloody well won't. That would also be assuming that they, and half the reality stars on this list, can read.

Lisa Snowdon wasn’t the first boot of I’m a Celebrity, and that’s something to be grateful for. Of course, that's a very low hurdle to cross, and I suppose it's just a bit indicative of how low our estimations of the Great British public have become. She was fun and cool and everyfin and everyfin, and for some strange reason the viewers decided that they'd rather watch Jordan Banjo, Larry Lamb, Adam Thomas and their ladbantz instead. Hang your heads in shame, guys. Although actually, I doubt any of those people are reading this, since you lot just voted Lisa Snowdon as one of your 30 favourite reality stars of the year. I should probably think before I type these things.

Highest from Australian Survivor

It’s time for the fourth and final Australian Survivor contestant to land in the ranking, which means you can start paying attention again because you’ll have heard of the rest of them. Don’t worry, this is the last nobody you’ll have to read about. But what a nobody. Phoebe was teased pre-season as the calculating criminal lawyer, which, yay women in employment, but it rang true in some places and not so much in others. Firstly, she received a lot of comparisons to Parvati for her ability to play men (/man) (and that man was Rohan) and her ability to find and play idols as if they were currency, blindsiding her tribesmates left, right and centre. On the other hand, however, Phoebe didn’t quite match the… long-lasting success of somebody like Parvati, even though she slugged it out for an entire month. You see, Australian Survivor was as long and twisted as time itself, and Phoebe was unfortunate enough to find herself on the Aussie equivalent of Ulong, with the tribe being reduced to just one person by the jury stage? That person? Phoeb-no, actually it was eventual winner Kristie, who turned on Phoebe after the latter attempted to blindside the former before a fake-out tribal council. Yeah, I said it was twisted. Anyway, despite not managing to make the merge, Phoebe marked herself as one of the stars of Ausvivor’s inaugural season (the first two never happened), and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw her again at some point…

Tim! Tim Tim Timmy Tim Tim. It’s a pity he hasn’t got a longer name because otherwise it’d be a hell of a lot easier to fill up his allotted word count. What can I say about Tim? Personally, I think he was fine. You guys clearly have him higher up in your estimations, or at least a select few of you do, but for me, he was just fine, and I’m allowed to say that because it’s my ranking and not yours (-Trixie Mattel). I came into the season dreading his inevitable appearance, because he kind of sucked in BBAU?, and although he showed some similar traits in the BBCan house – namely that time in the endgame that he decided he was DONE WITH ALLIANCES for no justified reason (Joel didn’t throw some popcorn to him when he was supposed to? Or something?) and it struck me as a bit desperate tbh. However, his gummy bear nominations thing was clever in the sense that he got no blood on his hands and managed to get to the final three off the back of that and similar moves. Ultimately, Nick and Phil decided that they were only going to allow Canadians in the final two (afaik Nick and Phil are the Canadian equivalent of UKIP) and thus, Tim came third. Which was the spot Nikki should have had instead, but c’est la vie.

Sam Quek was an unexpected star of the most recent season of I’m a Celebrity, mostly because the majority of the cast were boring or sucky human beings. Sam, however, was a fun/nice/entertaining/at the very least not boring or sucky person, and I’m sure you can tell that I didn’t watch much of this series because otherwise I’d have much, much more to say about Sam Quek. Or maybe I wouldn’t, because Sam didn’t actually get much of an edit, instead being pushed aside for such valuable stars as him from Emmerdale and her from Gogglebox. Still, she made Celebrity Cyclone, and as Scarlett will have you know, that’s the best thing that can possibly happen to anyone ever. In a way, it’s fitting that she became an unexpected star, because she and the rest of the Team GB hockey squad became the surprise stars of the Rio Olympics and oh god I don’t really watch sport either can I talk about Drag Race or something instead, what about that Phi Phi O’Hara, what a bitch, bet she didn’t even want to be there in the first place, I'm glad that nice Alyssa girl with the tongue pops and whatnot replaced her. Carol Vorderman is an undeniable national treasure, and that’s why it was thoroughly disappointing that she didn’t really last that long in this year’s I’m a Celebrity. Plus, for the time that she did last, she was a bit of a bottomgoddess, which kind of makes it worse when you remember the kind of detritus she was living with. I wrote almost the exact same thing for Lisa Snowdon, which is depressing to say the least. #Justice4WomenWhoAre40AndOlder2k16. I’m kind of at a loss as to what to write for the remainder of this entry, so how about you just imagine that the Countdown theme is playing as you read this. That’s right. The Countdown theme. Doo doo doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo. You know the one. Thirty whole seconds of it. Keep going. Doo doo doo doo… you can hear it now, can’t you? The monotonous ticking, as it grows louder and louder, drilling into your skull, hammering into your brain, making it into the cracks of your very being, writhing around in there, as if it’s some kind of parasite, like a tapeworm, as if it’s going to eat your head from the inside out, and it won’t stop until it’s done. Doodley doo, bong! There we go. You’re free now. Or are you?

Natalie  Her existence was one of the few things to be thankful for when it comes to BBUS18, which was generally just a minefield of horrible Grodnerisms and douchey people doing bland things. Starting the game in the minority along with her fellow Spy Girls (lol what a mess of an alliance <3), she managed to make it pretty far into the game, adding a bit of lightness to the awful stuff unfolding around her. I feel as if I'm writing a variation on that sentence often tonight. I wonder why. Anyway, now she's been married to James for four years and they've got seventeen kids and they've got a house and everything. Good luck to them.

The highest non-Saara entry from The X Factor in this year's ranking, Relley was a rare breed of X Factor contestant - one who can sing! Hahaha. Oh, the hilarity. But the fact that she was pushed aside early on in favour of people with dead relatives and dodgy gangster accents didn't bode well for our Relley, who went under the radar until the live shows. Until, of course, she did Shackles (Praise You). Afaik it was at that exact moment that several people were reported to have lost their virginity and several others converted to a new religion, the Church of Latter Day Relleys. This was surely to be the first step in Relley C's global domination, especially if she could continue to knock it out of the figurative park with similar performances. And then she had a few ballads, which, sure, that's pretty standard for any X Factor act, doesn't mean anything-oh except for the ****ing power vote or bottom three lifeline or #SaveATwink or whatever the hell it was called, because Relley, who wouldn't have otherwise been in the sing-off, had to face off against some girl group, and because this show sucks armadillo tits (do armadillos have tits? Also, what's an armadillo?), she went home. It's almost as if there have been quite a few bad results in 2016.

Highest from Love Island

Despite being the huge Love Island fan that I am, I thought I'd hand this particular write-up over to somebody who's even more dedicated than moi...

Zara is literally LIFE. She is literally a producers wet dream. Miss Holland carried Love Island during her three weeks on the show and cemented herself as an RTV legend and TIBB fave. Her whole story arc of desperately searching for a man, annoying them with her clinginess and OTT personality and ultimately being rejected time and time again was GREAT TV and by far one of the best storylines this year. Miss GB was destined to be a villain though and ultimately her crown slipped (quite literally!) when she engaged in sex with Alex (it was worth it tbqh Zara) and after she went the show ultimately died. Miss GB is one of the best RTV contestants of all time and I won't here a bad word against her. Fin.

♫No penis (no more penis in my life)
No one's gonna make me hurt again♫

I was going to say that I hoped the last male standing would at least be someone a bit fit, like Ken or Rohan, but then I remembered that Joel fits that role rather well. As you were. Most of us, if we knew Joel Dommett at all, knew him not so much for his comedy prowess but for the dick pix which we were leaked mere weeks before he went into the jungle. Or, rather, he went into the jungle as a result of his dick pix being leaked mere weeks before. Is my guess, at least. And for somebody whose lasting memory in the eye of the public was the sight of him jerking off to a webcam, his stint on the show actually turned out quite well! I doubt he’ll be selling out the O2, unless it’s a live show featuring lots of… the thing that made him famous in the first place (never underestimate the power of thirsty gays to sell tickets), but he gave amusing soundbites, provided a few lighthearted moments to what would otherwise be the blandest thing since Jamie Oliver made paella, and actually had his own little storyline of self-growth, and I don’t just mean in his pants. On top of all that, it turned out he was really effing ripped, which was most certainly a turn-up for the books. It’ll be all that exercise he’s been getting on his forearm, I’m sure. Ahem.

For somebody the general viewership had never heard of before (they may as well have dragged any middle-aged woman off the streets of Staten Island, and to this day I’m still not convinced that they didn’t), Renee did surprisingly well in the hell that was the Celebrity Big Brother 18 house, and her ascent to third place was one of the few positive moments in that nightmarish endgame. Although I was familiar with Mob Wives as a show beforehand, my first experience of Renee Graziano came with those paparazzi pictures of her falling all over London whilst gripping onto BB13’s Arron Lowe for dear life, the sheer randomness of which gave me hope that Renee would be a quality housemate – and if not, that she’d just fall either up or down the stairs a few times a la Heaven and give us all a cheap laugh (and her £250 off You’ve Been Framed) in the process. Thankfully, she turned out to be incredibly righteous, teaming up with Aubrey to try and grind down Bear as much as humanly possible. Ultimately, she didn’t succeed… I think… but it’s the thought that counts, right?

The Debbie Wanner Experience truly is something that cannot be described in words alone. But because I don’t want to slow down this forum’s bandwidth speed any further, I’m just going to have to try. And where do we start? Is it with her many, many jobs, be it a waitress, a juggler, a part-time model (something which I wouldn’t be convinced that she hadn’t made up just to try and bed Nick if it weren’t for the… photographic evidence), a chemist (a job for which she was indicted by the US federal government after falsifying test results) (!!!), a civil air patrol captain, a caretaker to nuns or Joe Del Campo’s night nurse? Is it the fact that everyone on her original tribe clearly hated her and yet she still outlasted half of them? Is it that she swiftly dismissed the show’s medical team and diagnosed herself with heatstroke in the holocaust that was the episode four reward challenge? Is it the fact that she told her tribe to keep an eye out for Michele in case she went and drowned herself? Is it that her pre-show press photos feature herself wearing a bikini with a massive tiger’s face on it, and that she no doubt considers this to be the height of fashion? Is it the fact that, after the show, she guest-starred in The Bold and the Beautiful for literally no reason? Is it the fact that she tanked her own game by randomly deciding to trust Julia, who she had barely been aligned with up to that point? Is it the fact that she’s been chosen to play in Game Changers despite changing the game in no way? Or, indeed, reader, is it all of the above? Oh would you look at that, we’ve ran out of time. See you next time, kids!

Loveita may not have lasted very long in Big Brother Canada, but my god did she get a lot done. Let’s break it down: she began by winning HoH, which I’m sure she soon regretted once the house flipped on her, leaving her with a mortal enemy in Kelsey, who she’d nominated in the intention of getting out the way very quickly. Once Kelsey’s side of the house took power, she was the first to be targetted, up against randomer Sharry. Who goes? You guessed it. Sharry. Apparently she was a threat to win? *shrug* Fuelled by this near-defeat, Loveita went on to win HoH once again, and decided to take out the power playe-oh no wait she went after Cassandra and Christine, specifically targetting the former. My mistake. This being BBCan4, a season in which nothing which happened was allowed to make an iota of sense, Christine went next, and despite this setback, Loveita seemed to have got herself into a pretty good position within the house. This was solidified when Kelsey was booted next in a near-unanimous vote. And then? She gets blindsided in a double eviction. Oops! Again, this being BBCan4, this turned out to be some strange remake of The Odd Couple, as Kelsey and Loveita were forced to live together in a secret house for a week/until the main house decided they could cope with having one of them back. With Loveita having coached Kelsey on how to play a game which made any kind of sense, as if she’d know what that was like, her protégée spread her wings and flew back into the house, whilst Loveita had to settle for fifth boot, thus shaping the remainder of the season in terms of who would hold the power. Hey, at least she beat Dallas. Remember Dallas? No, me neither.

I realise no one wants a running commentary of my opinions on everyone but Evelyn was never a particular favourite of mine, although I'm glad she came into her own in the last few weeks (the last few weeks could count for the whole series mind since it was like 2 days long) and clocked the self righteousness Alex and Jackson had from Day 1.

Highest from Survivor

Much like The Debbie Wanner Experience mentioned earlier in the ranking, The Alecia Holden Experience was just as magical, except that little bit more… concise, let’s say. By that, I mean that she was so hated by her tribe that she was voted out in a mercy kill after eleven painful days on the beaches of Cambodia. You see, Alecia was never meant to be a Brawn. She wasn’t as strong or as intimidating as her fellow tribemates. She was, in fact, a mental giant. She lived by her own tune – so what if she didn’t realise that you have to take the pen lid off the pen in order to be able to write with it? Alecia didn’t care for rules, for order, for the kind of routine and regime that her Brawn tribesmates craved. She didn’t use her muscles; she used her brain. So what if that didn’t come to fruition in the challenges, where she’d completely forget how puzzles worked? She had heart. Look at the time where she spent almost an entire day trying to make fire, starting with just the smallest embryo. She cared for her tribe, as much as she didn’t fit in with them, even when they didn’t care for her. She shared the clue to the hidden immunity idol with Cydney, even though she’d later be trampled over by Scot and Jason for it. She managed to plead her case well enough that she was, inexplicably, spared over Darnell and Jennifer, even if she wasn’t able crack the other three in the end. And, perhaps strangest of all, even notorious holder of bad opinions Jeff Probst sided with her. Now that’s the making of a legend. And with that, Survivor is out of the ranking, which is a little bit of a shame considering it produced two top-tier seasons (and one Millennials vs. Gen X) this year. Plus, Alecia was in the top 10 for a while (or so my terrible memory tells me), but was ultimately pushed down to 14th by the people above her. That's how these things tend to work. But hey. Onwards and upwards!

A few entries ago, I briefly hinted at the Renee/Aubrey relationship that was one of the few highlights of CBB18, however slightly twisted it may have been. Perhaps it may have grown from the general Americans vs Bear vibe of the series, but wherever it came from, it went on to become a rather charming little friendship of two women who appreciate the art of spitting in someone’s food. The fact that she was previously of The Celebrity Apprentice (and therefore came in talking non-stop about how firm her hatred for Donald Trump was, which is always a good start) was emphasised from the beginning, and I’ve seen it mentioned somewhere else that Renee became the Lisa Lampanelli to Aubrey’s Aubrey O’Day, so clearly the latter has a type. If you were to separate the two, however – and you have, as is the point of this ranking – it seems that Aubrey comes out on top, and that’s possibly because she was a rare breed of housemate: the competent strategist. It’s an archetype that had never really been achieved properly before, no matter how many Shannon twins or Jenna Jamesons had come and gone before her, so to see somebody nail it and earn their "well, at least she beat Frankie Grande" placement was truly heartwarming. Until Bear went and won, that is, at which point our hearts all shattered into a million sharp little pieces. ****, I said I wouldn’t mention Bear again, didn’t I? ****.

Also, on a purely vain note, I think this might be my favourite pic of the whole ranking, simply because the background fits quite nicely with Aubrey's ombre. So at least there's that.

It's time for one of the few people who have to date made it into both TiBB Reality Rankings, and unlike the only other person who I can tell has achieved this feat (Katya, for your information, hunty), this one has managed to improve on their previous placing. That said, it’s only by two places, and up until the final vote they were bound to be fourteenth again. Poor that indeed. That’s right, I’m talking about Jeff Weldon. No, wait, I’m talking about Da’Vonne, the walking gif herself. In fact, I’ve seen the gif of her leaving the BB17 house (oft misappropriated as being from last year and being a gif of her entering the house. These people must be stopped) more than I’ve seen my own family. And frankly, they may as well just have played gifs of her on repeat for the… what, eight weeks? she was in there for, because it’s all she was going to deliver. And for those who like that kind of thing, deliver is what she did, providing sassy confessionals and gifs and momes upon momes for Tumblr to touch themselves over on particularly lonely nights. Funnily enough, it was after her eviction that she truly came alive, and unleashed her fury onto a terrified Paulie Calafiore in the jury house, leading the aforementioned Paulie Pile-On Part II. That was fun. Let’s hope we get more moments like that to justify your tenth-placed finish in next year’s ranking, Mama Da’!

...oh, fine. Here you go.

Just missing out on this year’s top ten comes the woman behind what may be 2016’s greatest winners arcs, or at least, 2016’s greatest winners arc that doesn’t include the words Kristie and Bennett. It’s The Alana Spencer, the supreme cake queen herself. Beginning her journey in what might as well have been a permanent Las Vegas-style residency in the final boardroom, all so Lordsugar could pretend that she was “really quiet and timid and shy” in the beginning as if they didn’t just edit her out of the first couple of episodes because Karthik needed some more airtime, Alana slowly became a well-rounded business beast, starting with her first win as a Project Manager in week three and seeing her go from strength-to-strength from that point on. Well, if you ignore the time she fell back into the final boardroom in week seven, that is. Alana’s confidence grew and so did her snark, and at one point it seemed like her sole purpose in the show was to provide fun little moments like criticising the mermaids or the following exchange:

Alana: "Right, so we’ve got fifteen minutes-"
Karren: "Actually, no, your first guests have arrived"
Alana: "Right, so we’ve got no minutes…"

And then, gin came along, as it so often does. Alana had had a pretty good episode by her standards the previous week, she’d still ended up in the losing team, and therefore had a lot to prove before the interviews came around. Thankfully, she decided that she wasn’t going to put up with any BLOODY WAFFLE-OFFS () and dragged her team to victory, despite having to promote a gin named Giin and being on the same team as Courtney Wood. Her excitement at realising she was in the final five was amazing and was really only the beginning for her, as she more or less slayed (sorry, slew) the interviews, leaving Claudine’s wig on the floor, etc etc. At the final two stage, despite her team nearly dissolving into civil war over the name Maureen, her Ridiculously Rich by Alana cakes appealed to Lordsugar’s sweet tooth and, durr, she won, thus redeeming 2016 forever more and-OH GOD SOMEONE ELSE FAMOUS HAS GONE AND DIED FOR ****’S SAKE never mind.

Highest from The X Factor

The story of Saara Aalto is a story that I genuinely can’t do justice to. I can’t do justice to the woman who came over from Finland and was treated like fodder, a joke, who was booed off stage at the six chair challenge and swiftly eliminated from the competition, who came back as a wildcard, somehow scraped through judges’ houses – presumably due to Sharon assuming that Saara would be a meat shield for Louis and Nicole’s twinks, because let’s face it, she’s only doing this gig for the totty – fell into the bottom three (not bottom two, may I add -glares at the producers-) in the very first week despite singing the socks off literally everyone bar Relley C, came back in week two only for the exact same thing to happen – this time with even more peril as the ****-for-brains judges took it to deadlock, by which point it looked utterly hopeless. And then she sang It’s Oh So Quiet. And things started to improve for Saara. Then she got through, and Halloween Week came around, and she got through again. But that was too much improvement for this show. They didn’t want her to become some kind of underdog or anything. So they stuck her in a comedy wig, made her straddle a cannon and got her to sing early noughties Girls Aloud, because that’s what musical integrity is, goddammit. Thankfully, it was at this point that the show realised that if they took her seriously, people may actually get behind her. And they did. She knocked No More Tears out the (MacArthur) park. She took it out on The Winner Takes It All. She shined in Chandelier. And she kept getting through. Round after round after round. The woman who came over from Finland only to be viewed as a joke was now in the final. And then… SHE WON YAY GO SAARA WE KNEW YOU COULD DO IT YAY SANTA WOOOOOOOOOO the end. And then Pam Ewing woke up.

Highest from The Apprentice

Alana fell just before the top ten, but it was Jessica who stood tall to represent The Apprentice in this exclusive group of reality TV personalities, and my god did she do a good job. The self-described female version of Jim Carrey (who I hate so great start, Jess!) might not have made it to the very end of the business competition, but she got a ‘with regret’ fourth placed finish and that’s probably the next best thing tbh. Especially when you think back to week two, when Jessica had a breakdown over forgetting to bring jeans to the filming of a jeans advert, and looked sure to be fired. Luckily for our Jess, some random Scottish broad turned up at the last minute and poisoned Lordsugar with her Scottish tea (or something) (the random Scottish broad <3) and Jess cockroached her way through the next few tasks, which involved a stint as a shop window mannequin and a job on the night shift. Over the following weeks, Jessica turned from a weeping mess into a genuine threat to win, although she occasionally broke down in the boardroom for the lulz. After all, you never forget your roots. Jessica continued to shine when she teamed up with Courtney to help Gordon find his badger (god what an iconic task), before the two joined Alana to create not only the best team combination in the history of this show, but the legend that is Giin. Unfortunately, as I said, the interviews were to be the end for our Jess, but now she’s in a better place. By which I mean Courtney’s parents’ bedroom. And possibly the Celebrity Big Brother house, because that show gets us all eventually.

#betches unite for Cassandra <3 Even though she willingly aligned herself with Tim (like, I still don’t know what that was. Them pranking Phil was somewhat amusing, but I’m still confused over six months on. Were they a thing? Did she turn him gay? idgi), Cassandra was the star of BBCan4 if you ignore the fact that there’s still somebody from that season left to be ranked. Continuing the show’s proud tradition of amazing fourth place kweens, Cassandra played it hard, throwing strategy in people’s faces like she just didn’t care, and cackling in the diary room about it afterwards… and then being terrible at challenges <3 Like, she was so terrible at challenges that she only won HoH thanks to her dad winning some random counting challenge <3 I also still don’t know to this day how she made it to the final four, or how she managed to get out of being voted out at final five (<3), but she did and she might as well sign the BBCan All Stars contract now.

Hold my beer" – BB18), but one of the finest examples of how well it turned out was the epic love-to-not-love story of Charlie and Jason. I mean, it wasn’t particularly fine for either parties involved – especially Jason – but god was it good television. From the saga of what may or may not have happened to Jason’s dog Cleo (or Clio? Does Jason seem the type to name his dog after a car? I say yes) to Charlie storming out in tears after literally every conversation and usually being followed by, say, Jayne screaming “LEAVE HIM, CHARLS, HE AIN’T WORTH” it or something, the Charlie/Jason experience was truly something to behold and is probably the prime piece of evidence I use whenever somebody says that Jason is a bad winner. Of course, this is Charlie’s write-up, and not yours Jason’s, but the two will always be related: Charlie was evicted because of Jason, and Jason won in part because of the airtime Charlie gave him. We all know that The Others were the superior set of housemates and a lot of that is thanks to Charlie, which is pretty damn special for somebody who Big Brother forgot on the ****ing launch show. To be honest I’m not totally sure if you’re still reading this things at this point, and I really don’t blame you, so I’m going to test your attention span by posting some Nietzsche. God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we comfort ourselves, the murderers of all murderers? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it? (fun fact: this was actually written immediately after Charlie’s eviction. I guess Nietzche wasn’t much of a Chelsea fan)

What do you say about Laura Carter that hasn’t already been said? The woman who was factory-bred to be a first boot, complete with tabloid backstory (in this case, shagging Justin Bieber), wannabe aspirations, questionable cosmetic surgery, sexually confident VT quotes and, most crucially to the BBUK first boot, a vagina. And so that’s why it was shocking to say the least when the public decided it was time to punish the man (his name being Marco Pierre White, Jr. and being found most often nowadays on court documents), breaking a sixteen year-long curse and proving that this wasn’t going to be an ordinary series. And if you want proof of that fact, just have a gander as the rest of Laura’s trajectory in the Big Brother house, as the first boot who never first booted: she found a BFF with whom she could perform Celine Dion songs topless with in Evelyn and was reunited with her long-lost Mexican love Bernardo (<3), with whom she’d locked eyes on a dancefloor in Miami a few years ago and with whom she immediately decided she was going to get married, eventually getting a shag out of it (once she’d shaved her fanny and squeezed all her farts out) (what an epic love story <3<3<3). She nearly came a cropper in Annihilation Week, when the house was tasked with voting out either her, Ryan or Sam (but mostly either her or Ryan). Being a woman who was being mercilessly booed by the crowd at the time, you’d think that was it for Laura. But no. Because it turned out that, in fact, Ryan was a bit of a prick (I know, it was truly shocking), in this case to Jason, and Jason made himself a slightly better winner than he’d have otherwise been by voting out the orange turd. But this isn’t about Jason. This is about Laura. Who cares that she was out the next week? Not me, and probably not her either, as she got a whole week on BOTS to herself. Once she left the house, she was reunited with Bernardo, and part of me hopes that they’re still together to this ver-oh who am I kidding, they split up in September. Which means he might still be on the market. Go get him, gays.

I have one question for you, TiBB:

https://66.media.tumblr.com/0ac4aae6b1dbe5d5f5ad44816417ba04/tumblr_oaxn11kH5B1qzoxt9o2_500.gif

Some statistics for you, here – at one point or another, everyone in the top four was looking to be the runner-up, and Jayne was a lock to be top three at the very least. I suppose she’s just destined to finish lower than predicted. Yes, it’s still raw. You can tell from the big gap in points between Laura and Jayne that these final four are all very popular reality peoples, so she can't feel too disheartened. Not that she would, of course. She's Jayne, the queen of happiness and positivity (apart from when she's threatening to annihilate people). I was going to write a novella about how good Jayne was, but why use text when a picture (/gif, same thing) paints a thousand words?
