And let's not forget, while slavery was an absolutely abhorrent thing, some slaves were sold to white people by black people and Arabs. What's more, because black people had no power back then, none at all, it was forward-thinking white people who had slavery abolished. When I say "abolished" I mean what we traditionally, historically, regard as "The Slave Trade" because slavery is alive and well and oppressing people of all colours.

You're right black people did not have power back then. And yes they sold slaves to whites on request but I doubt they thought they would be subjected to the horror that fell on them for centuries. Labour was more their understanding of the trade. And yes Whites brought slavery in and some ended it but the results thereafter were disastrous.
