Does BB17 Stand Out To Anybody Now?

When it finished airing I thought it was amazing, annihilation was one of the best weeks of BB ever, the other house had the best feud ever :love: and the set was amazing <3 but now I don't remember much of it apart from Lateysha's eviction and Jayne's rants. Looking back production was also a mess, although a step-up from BB15-BB16. Does it stand out to anyone else now?

For me it's still one of the best C5 series. So yeah it still stands out.

It's still top 2 C5 BB. It takes time for series to sink in and become a "cult classic", like BB13.

yeah Georgina for me of course, i never expected her to do BB in the first place, coming from a rich family, living in a mansion having 3 horses, well the BB house was a huge step back for her i guess, she has shown me she can be a funny moaning minnie, and Jackson was never good for her at all, glad she dumped him now :hee:

It was ok in the context of Channel 5 seasons but really it wasn't all that great. The majority of the cast were models, it had the worst winner in BB history and production was still pretty messy. Tbh I think it's regarded well only because of how poorly regarded BB15 and BB16 are. I agree - it was better than those two abysmal seasons, however, BB14 was in my opinion the best Channel 5 civilian series and even that has nothing on the majority of Channel 4 seasons. The casting is the most important thing and Channel 5 seem to religiously **** that up :laugh:

For me it was a great series in its own right, irregardless of the crap that preceded it. Having a couple of years of terrible BB did make me even more appreciative once a good series came along again but it wasn't the bad ones that made it seem good.

Thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end (the only brief blip being that ridiculous task with the boyfriends).

My 2nd fave C5 BB behind BB14.

OK, the production was pretty bad, but the HMs were the liquid gold that series. So many great HMs and moments. It didn't really matter about the crap tasks.

And following 15 and 16 just made 17 look fantastic.

It was a good series, although I felt there was a really dull period in the middle but it picked up again during the last couple weeks. And it only really struck gold with the selection of housemates, as opposed to production improving. It ages well but I still don't think it's the best C5 series ever (BB13 takes that title imo)

I think it felt extra great because it was after both BB15 and BB16 which were bottom tier, awful series. In hindsight it's really an average season, but because we had two years of terrible seasons people have championed it I believe. I still think BB13 and BB14 are easily the best C5 civilian series.

The messy production is what helps it stand out, imo.
They really didn't think about the fact the Main House would most likely hear the Others, which is laughable in its self, but the fact they played crowd noises to drown the Others out and avoid suspicion from the Main House is still iconic <3 Who can forget that awful live stream when the Others moved in, and they lost feed for half the show?

BB17 definitely stands out as arguably the best BB on C5, bar maybe, BB14 and BB13? Such a shame it was short-lived, the casting was perfect, and I'm still waiting on my Jayne Connery spin-off :nono:

I still love it but I don't think it's aged too well. Amazing casting, but messy production and some unfair twists iirc.
