Ugh these latest 3 episodes were phenomenal but One Minute More is maybe the best of the whole show. Hurry up and watch Niamh so we can discuss how blown our minds are!

Omg.
I knew when Hannah and Emma crashed that it was going to be Hannah, then I changed my mind again so do we think Hannah is also the origin then? The eyes clue would fit since she's Comes mother. And Jones is his grandmother awwww [emoji178]

Throughout the whole first episode of the night with Hannah in the past I was certain they were setting her up as Cole's mother, then the Emma/Marion reveal happened so I figured that was it. Then the actual reveal happened and it just felt so satisfying. Funny how I just brought that theory up recently and even then it still seemed unlikely
Apparently Brooke was told when she was cast so this has been planned the whole time too :clap1:

I still think Cole is the origin tbh

I th8nk it's Hannah because she died as the virus was released
Lostie!
02-07-2018, 09:13 PM
That's a good point tbh.
Cassie releasing the virus though  That felt like an even bigger twist than the Hannah reveal. Both of them will make rewatching so much richer too. Seriously, such a brilliant episode.
And Deacon getting his head chopped off in episode 8  Actually seeing it really caught me off guard
And I loved the cover of Don't You Forget About Me :clap1:

Oh and I loved the Olivia / Jones literal mind games in episode 7. The scene with her killing Hannah over and over again was brutal.
Niamh.

I was really sad about Deacon [emoji24]
Lostie!
02-07-2018, 09:17 PM
I wasn't but I was very shocked. I really like the actor though, I've seen him in a few things and he seems great in interviews so I feel bad for crapping on Deacon so much

I feel really bad for Emma though. Her whole story was so tragic. :(

I've really liked him this season

I feel really bad for Emma though. Her whole story was so tragic. :(Yeah I thought she might have had more purpose but looks like she was just a red herring

Killed on the orders of her own mother right after becoming excited about the prospect of becoming a mother herself </3 I really thought Olivia was going to be revealed to love her and that would humanise her but nope, she's a completely soulless shell
Oh Cole being the Demon from the poem was another big twist. And since the poem says only the Demon can wield the weapon, he's definitely sacrificing himself in the end
Niamh.
02-07-2018, 09:32 PM
Oh how is Cole the Demon again?
Lostie!

Oh how is Cole the Demon again?
The way I understand it, his existence is pretty much driving time insane because he's in the middle of so many loops etc.

So maybe saving child Olivia might still be the way to stop it and Cole would never be born
Lostie!
02-07-2018, 10:13 PM
Hmm they reminded us of child Olivia too when Jones was in her mind
I was surprised by Cassie getting the grey streak in her hair too (so many reveals in these episodes ). I figured that had to be a years older Cassie but now we know she got it from touching the bell when it was rung. So now we're pretty much perfectly lined up for dying Cassie at the CDC (and she wasn't wearing her mask when she released the virus was she?)
Niamh.
02-07-2018, 10:45 PM
No she wasn't wearing a mask :worry:
And they mentioned a lot of times why Olivia became the witness and wants the red Forrest was because of loneliness and having being trapped in the box, it has to be the end at her beginning

Finale night tonight in the US. Can't believe when I wake up tomorrow it'll have officially ended
So ridiculously excited to see how it all ends though. Everyone who's posted about seeing it so far has only raved about how good it was.

Watched the final episode earlier today and I loved it. Such a complete, fitting ending. Will go into details of my thoughts when you've watched Niamh.
I'm genuinely feeling down about it all being over though. Will have to commence the full series rewatch soon!

So I watched it and I'm still trying to decide whether I liked it our not. What I loved was Olivia being the origin and how she became it and the flash back to her saying "I'm just a thing in a box" brilliant. I liked the ending but they spoiled it by bringing Cole back unless of course they were in the red Forrest but I don't like how that's left open to your own interpretations. Also Athen having come back to tell Jones to save Cole didn't make sense to me because if he knew what was going to happen then surely he would have known all along that he wasn't the witness which didn't seem to be the case until just before he died

Yeah Cole returning at the end was one of the things I mentioned being unsure about to you. On reflection I like it as a nice happy ending but bittersweet endings are always my favourite and I think the scene of her on the porch of the house of cedar and pine saying "see you soon" would have been a perfect ending scene. Doesn't take away from the finale as a whole being extremely enjoyable and nostalgic though, but I kind of wish it ended with the Cassie scene.
The Athan scene was actually a deleted scene from season 3 that I guess they decided to use here to allow him to appear in the finale.
Olivia as the origin was BRILLIANT. Loved her and Cassie's final fight too. Was surprised by how gruesome her death was but in a good way, there's always a risk of the final confrontation with the villain being anticlimactic but this delivered.
The other thing I wasn't crazy about was a younger Deacon and the West 7 being brought into the battle. It just confuses the time lines even more for the sake of fanservice. But I did like Ramse being brought from moments before his death then sent back at the end, really frames his final moments and saying "don't undo this" in a new light.

Jennifer genetically engineering a unicorn :laugh2: Great callback to the season 1 finale

They also implied that maybe Cassie never stopped the sequence. . .

Terry's talked about that, he said his belief is that she did but said there are others on the writing team who believe otherwise
Oh I loved finally hearing Cassie's full CDC recording too with the gaps filled in

Tbh I take whatever the showrunner says as canon and he's pretty firm on it being that Cassie ended the paradox and that the leaves are just autumn leaves (but yeah they definitely knew they'd spark a debate on the matter with that last shot )
Interesting that Sam was still born without the plague happening. I'm guessing there's a good chance of Athan being born again too since Cole and Cassie are reunited.
Bit strange though that Cole now exists without being born. Hannah technically isn't his mother anymore
Lostie!

Honestly the more I think about it the more I think saving Cole was unnecessary. Cassie remembering him and buying the house was perfect.
Ah well, I loved most of it
Niamh.
08-07-2018, 07:32 PM
Yeah it's also too mind bendy like you said about Hannah being his mother and all that and the whole thing was just too neat
