I'd say lack of education is potentially the biggest factor

I don't think a person can be talked off the moon, a rational Muslim can't tell a terrorist that they've read Quran wrong, they have two completely different ideologies.
Similarly, I guess, I dont think a KKK member would leave that community if a Christian was to explain their interpretation of the Bible. KKK isn't a Christian problem, its a lack of education combined with a ****ed up education.
