All so it can avoid the love island clash? ****ing mess

How the hell are they going to avoid all the housemates saying stuff like "****ING HELL!!" Or "****!" When they enter the house?

Nb idea having a pre 9 start for any episode of BB (probably not the launch) as long as it's on a Sunday, otherwise it clashes with soaps/saturday night TV. I'm pretty sure c5 BB has never even had an episode starting before 9, let alone a launch!

Okay with me...

Denver

So 2 and a half hours launch?

24-05-2017, 03:19 PM
It gets a head start on love island, but in turn clashes with corrie. I'm really split on whether this won't make a difference, or will be a huge mistake...

All I can think about is that one time CBB aired before 9pm I'm 2015 and it got 1.8 million (the series average was 3.1m)

Risky.

They literally have zero confidence in their program to the extent of preferring to go against Corrie over LI

Makes sense to me, people like to watch it on delay and skip the adds. They might turn it off completely if they prefer a show elsewhere.

It's as if they are deliberately trying to sabotage the show. That's a terrible time-slot. It will be up against Coronation Street followed by Love Island.

Even though it's the first episode of the series, I feel like a lot of people won't notice and will just tune in at 9 expecting that to be when it starts. That'll probably effect the ratings

I don't understand why they didn't just wait until Tuesday? Or is there some big competition that night that I'm forgetting?

Didn't the channel 4 eviction shows always begin at 8.30pm? Hardly anything new for BB.

I think the last time a live show started before 9 was CBB5's launch.

They aired a whole highlights episode of CBB15 at 8pm... before a live 9pm episode, with the backdoor eviction

(It rated absolutely terribly mind you)

WTF is wrong with these producers??? If you don't want any competition, put it on at 10 when Corrie AND Love Island end.

CBB10 had an eviction starting at 8:30 before as well.

Lostie!
25-05-2017, 06:19 PM
No issue with the launch starting at that time. Every episode at 8:30 would be crap, though.

They used to do evictions all the time at that time on C4 before BB8.

But it'll flop. It ain't 2006!

I've watched since CBB6 and in c4 days they had 20:00 episodes all the time and I think all summer finals pretty much started before 9. Does anyone remember when the Ultimate Big Brother final started at 7:30!?

I thin they just didn't prepare an advert including the time because they only decided on it once they saw what love island were doing

Same. They've chosen literally the worst possible date and time to air it. It'll only get about 800k views if they don't change it imo.
