I don't think Lauren is as bad as I was originally thinking but if Lauren wins this season that's about as bland as it gets. (barring a crazy turn of events stemming from this week's episode)

Game Changers was a season of Survivor. This is slightly better than "a season of Survivor", which is honestly the best I can hope for from this show nowadays!

(also the fact that Lauren Rimmer: Challenge Winner has a fairly strong chance of pulling this off helps me maintain my interest)

And in retrospect, I've enjoyed this cast. Of those voted out so far, I've liked everyone to some degree except Katrina, and that's only because we were barely introduced to her? I'm meh on both Roark and Ali, but they were fine while they lasted, and Roark only existed for one episode anyway. The only player left who I dislike is Ryan, and by this point he's essentially a caricature of himself and has absolutely no chance of winning, so... yeah, I'm feeling at least somewhat positive for a change tonight

(I'm rooting for the alliance that Mike, Ben, Devon happen to be a part of... or believe that they're part of, in Mike's case, but I could give or take them)

I know I'm one of the only people actively defending this season but I like it, sorry! Like, the worst part is that a vast majority of the cast feel like knock-offs of previous contestants, but they aren't bad knock-offs if that makes any sense? And I do think we have a few unique and interesting characters like Ben and Lauren and they're both surely making the finale?

The double ep really rejuvenated actually, which is funny bc one it finished I was depressed bc I got my hopes up for a Ryan boot and only got a JP boot, and then the Joe boot was pretty clear-cut. But now that I've had a few days to let it all soak in, I actually really like the Ashley/Ben/Devon/Lauren thing and I think they're probably the four most likable people left? And even then Mike is just an awkward weirdo hanging on by a thread and Chrissy is FINALLY getting the edit she deserves :love: like, reading the exit interviews makes it clear that Chrissy could have been an ICONIC villainess if she was fully shown in the edit, but we finally got a taste of it when she choked on her own tears and insisted that she'll have the last laugh, and then did have the last laugh with Joe and snubbed him on his way out.

Ryan is really the only one I'm having huuuuuge problems with, and I think we all know why. He just sucks. His delivery in his one-liners and self-deprecation is just painfully awkward and forced, like he clearly scripted lines before the show and is just desperately trying to shoehorn them in because it's like Day 30 and he still has plenty of material left to use. Not to mention him being PERSONALLY INSULTED that Ashley and Devon aka "two 25 year old surfers" outplayed him when A) he literally handpicked Devon as His Person bc he perceived him as a dumb surfer dude, and B) YOU ARE 23 YEARS OLD, HUMAN!!!!!!

I've actually enjoyed this season a lot in parts but then have also found it very bland/meh in probably an equal amount of parts. Depends how it finishes out (as I think it COULD be a painful finish) but I prefer this season over Game Changers as well.

The episode was a great one, it really did show that Lauren had no idea what she was truly doing, The fact that she trusted DR Mike after blindsiding him the night-before baffles me, So for that reason alone it was her time to go.

I really did wish Ben didn't have a idol i detest him and his sob story, Yes we get it your a Vet and you have issue but that doesn't mean you should win survivor.

Next 3 out need to be Ben, Ryan, Mike and or Chrissy.

Devin to win at this point.

I think saying that Lauren didn't know what she was doing is a huuuuge disservice to her As A Player. Like, leaving her extra vote at camp and giving the rock to Mike were both unquestionably stupid decisions, but she still got a potential 4-3 vote to turn the other way around into a 6-1 vote and was only thwarted by like the eighth ****ing HII of the season.

But yeah, as sad as I am at least Lauren more or less locked her second season up with that exit? Queen of mooching off of her sister's superfandom. Also, what a ****ing breath of fresh air her character was. Truly one of a kind and a huge surprise for someone who pretty much everyone expected to be an early fodder boot.

Also, this season's still pretty damn great because these people are largely childish and volatile and emotional and petty and INSANE, and it's led to a bunch of great tension and moments and interesting relationships.

So I ended up falling asleep and missing this episode but I just watched and it was fine? Y'all are overreacting so damn much because Ben is fine? Like, he's definitely flawed and grating but he brings *IT* He's pissy and emotional and brings the best out of everyone around him and that's really all you can ask for? And CHRISSY, man what a constellation. "So the vote is between Ben and Mike." "Well actually I think we should vote for Ashley :3" and her reaction to Ben's HII :love: with Chrissy it's all about her tone and her affect, and she truly puts on a masterclass on off-putting condescension :love:

IDK, I just don't know what you people want. Is this season perfect? Hell no. Are there things that annoy me, like the fact that I can't even keep track of how many idols and advantages have been in the game this season? Absolutely. But this season's still doing fine even in spite of that? Maybe it's me slowly morphing into a casual now but even if this season isn't perfect and the boot order has been less than ideal, all I really care about is if I'm being entertained and each week I am :shrug: these people are petty as **** and make dumb, emotional decisions without thinking them through and they're not afraid to clash and call each other out at camp or at TC, and I've been looking forward to Wednesdays every week and that's a pretty good sign to me.

Also for being TIBB's Last Hope, Mike is kind of a boring nonfactor? Pleasant, but wallpaper nonetheless. I can't imagine going into Wednesday with the attitude of "Well, my enjoyment is entirely going to come down to how Dr. Mike fares!" especially when the show pretty much already treats him like a nonfactor too.

It's close but I think it was closer before the FTC was over. Now I'd say it's like 45-35-20 (Chrissy-Ben-Ryan). Which is a lot better chance for Ryan than I thought going into this. I thought Ben's biggest battle was getting to the F3 but now idk, not sure he wins this even after making it. :think:

Or like 40-40-20... I'm pretty split between Chrissy or Ben winning & think Ryan would be a possible shock result.

This recap reminds me Ben went through a crazy transformation for me... went from somewhat liking him to almost despising him to actually sort of loving his craziness & his fight from the bottom. :clap1:

He deserved it though. Not the GREATEST game (he was a bit crazy and messy) but he sure gave it his all and somehow managed to get there with his back against the wall for a while.

Eh, not really actually. I didn't love this season. :joker: It wasn't bad at all though, like it's better than Game Changers easily now. Still not as good as MvGx or Kaoh Rong for me but definitely not complaining about this season, and I thought I would be when it was at the merge. It actually did have a pretty strong post-merge surprisingly.

Decently good season, likable/messy cast, and a winner I can get behind a lot more than the average Michelle/Adam/Sarah results we've gotten lately. :clap1:

In a perfect world it would have been nice to not have Ben as a winner, but still... it´s still better than Chrissy. (For me at least)

I´m pretty certain that all of the final three will return on later seasons. Other ones i could see are Ashley, Devon, Ali, Mike, Alan, Cole, Jessica, Joe, Lauren and Patrick. Maybe Desi too. So basically most of them are potential returnees.

Omg what a tragic finale. Ben is definitely the worst winner ever (in terms of gameplay), no other winner needed 3 idols and a BS F4 twist to make final 3. I didn't like Chrissy either but she deserved to win (or Devon if he made it to F3 like he should've)

I think I would have this season in my bottom 5 at this point, before the finale this wasn't the case but knowing this show cares more about "BIG MOVES" and BS twists rather than organic character development and gameplay makes my enthusiasm for Survivor at an all time low

Ben played a very **** game to the point he turned 2 alliances which hated each others guts into one massive alliance AGAINST him and only survived because he used 3 idols back to back plus production rigged it and created a fire making challenge because they knew his useless ass couldnt win a challenge to save his life. So he sucked at all strategy, physical and social parts of the game, he only found idols. I wonder why no one said this in ftc.

Chrissy should've won. She didnt play a flawless game yes but no one played a flawless game but chrissy played all three portions of the game better than anyone. Her social game was good, she knew everyone personally better than other two finalists, she won HALF of the immunity challenges but didnt need to win majority of them because she secured herself a f3 alliance with ryan and devon plus she played the game from day one. Desi, Cole, Joe and JP deciding the winner is a ****ing joke they all sucked at the game. Also **** JP to scum his closest ally in the game i am glad editors gave him an almost INV edgic on his boot episode, bye trash.

I could see an argument for Ryan to win but not Ben. Ben even played a worse game than Bob did.
