I can't help but feel like the show is trying to replicate the Love Island format nowadays, with most weeks barely having normal nominations.. housemates being casted are reality show wannabes rather than quirky personalities.. it just feels that the format has been absolutely ruined.

I will hold out that something will improve, but until then, I'm really doubting i will continue to follow the show tbh :/

Reality TV shows, an already dead format.

A fad, that has had it's day.

The main problem being, unlike in the past, the old fad isn't being taken over by a new one so they're scared of bloody ending it.

bb17 wasn't too bad eitherIt's just a scripted soap opera now. They should be eligible to win awards at the British soap awards.

I'll still probably watch, because I'm a sad-case, but I'll be in permanent Victor Meldrew mood, while doing so.

Its looking desperate these days.

I think there is something that would work, go back to open auditions, film the process, like x factor show good bad ugly, film the group sessions, let public vote housemates who go in.

No because the show in the last 6 years has built its little core audience of Geordie Shore viewers who like the way it is currently so would just vote the usuals back in.

You don't know that would happen.

You don't know it wouldn't.

Given the voting patterns we've seen the show evolve to. Giving people like Helen Wood and Steven Bear the win it's highly likely my theory is right.
