At least it's not 40 but that's still low

Don't understand why it can't just run for 61 days.

31-05-2017, 02:47 PM
Well it's longer than BB17 so that's an improvement

Does that include eviction nights as 2 then?

Around 60 is good so it isn't too bad

No evictions are back to being one episode.

I suppose it's basically 8 weeks so not that much shorter than it originally was anyway.

It's an improvement

I suppose there's room for an extension if they so wish

Greg!
31-05-2017, 02:54 PM
I mean it's better than 40!

RichardG
31-05-2017, 02:54 PM
that's good

i don't want a long season, i usually give up on them by the final few weeks

is that the big news tho :umm2:

I come back on the 24th July ffs

How am I supposed to catch up with two weeks' worth in two days?

Shaun
31-05-2017, 03:05 PM
:worry: just one more week would be ideal.

I don't think BB17 felt THAT short so this isn't too bad, but they should add on an extra week and it would be the idea length

It's sad that the duration of both CBB series combined is almost two weeks longer than the civilian

Probably a week too short.

Though it might seem too long if things go badly.

Well I mean it's still too short but it's nearly 2 weeks longer than what was feared

They'll extend it if its good anyway  if its not good enough to be extended then theres no problemo

I guess this is true. But it depends on how close CBB20 is. BB17 was well received and rating well so I'm sure the reason they didn't extend that was because CBB18 was launching a matter of days later.

And 75% of the 8 left at the end were bores.

BB17 was already rating well before they decided to cut the series to 50 days. I'm pretty sure they announced that the week Charlie was evicted, when there was already two weeks left. Plus C5 don't really seem to plan in advance.

Evelyn was coming into her own as it drew to a close. She could have become a great given a few more weeks.

I seem to remember Emma referencing a short series on launch but then they didn't mention it again until Charlie's eviction. They must have realised there was no point in continuing for much longer without their star?

Nah they did tbf. After Georgina's eviction Rylan announced that we were half way through the series and the audience started clapping :umm2:

NO Jake, they realised they couldn't make a whole series after Charlie's eviction.

I remember Emma said 'for the next eight weeks' on launch night and then they cut it even further :umm2:

I suppose it's better than 40, but I don't see them extending it since they seem to have gotten back into shoving the celebs in when the civilians are barely out the door

It's a shame because even in France we have 10 full weeks even though ratings are at the same level as in the UK, if not worse sometimes.
I miss the old BB summer feeling. Three shortened series in a row is too much.

BB17 could have been so brilliant had they kept the 10 weeks format, because eventually with less housemates tensions arise and things change. Minds change, and it becomes a mind game of who can last the longest and not crack.

I mean it might be dire and I might want it over with asap, but why 52 days? Why not go back to the usual 64, see how ratings go and then cut it back a week or 2?

52 takes us to a Wednesday final... then a Monday launch for CBB perhaps? I think 60 days would be perfect, ending on a Thursday and then launching CBB on the Monday or Tuesday
