Thanks! And I'm not too against it tbh, I liked it in Tuesday CBB19 evictions when I could go to school and talk about the eviction the next day, rather than waiting the whole weekend

Does anyone actually know what's going on? Blind Date is advertised as Saturday's at 7pm?!

I'm fine with it (fyt me). There was a time people would avoid going to the pub on friday to watch BB. That time ent now. I think it will attract more viewers.

Apparently it will air at 10:30pm on Monday 19th of June too.

Having evictions on Thursday is a good idea. They can maximise on ratings since that's a weekday, Fridays have been doing badly recently. However, then moving it SO late on a Friday just outweighs the point in that...

Why are they airing blind date for 90 minutes twice a week anyway?! It should be 8pm Fridays with BB at half 9, if they're doing this.

Jason.
07-06-2017, 03:40 PM
Having evictions on Thursday's is a really dumb move in general because LI doesn't have a Friday show so they don't have to worry about competition.

07-06-2017, 03:41 PM
Love island has a Friday show, and it's usually an eviction show too, actually. It doesn't have a Saturday show

supertv247
07-06-2017, 03:43 PM
They're basically making Friday the new Saturday, just as they went back to 9pm on Saturday :/

Firewire
07-06-2017, 03:44 PM
It just doesn't feel right!

Jason.
07-06-2017, 03:44 PM
My mistake, I keep forgetting LI changed the schedule.

supertv247
07-06-2017, 03:49 PM
Maybe they were going to put it on Saturday, meaning 10:30 BB, but decided to do Friday and then maximise the chance of better ratings on Saturday since it doesn't have love island..... If so, that's not so badly thought out as it seems

07-06-2017, 03:57 PM
Surely Blind Date is more a Saturday/Sunday show than a Friday? And does it need to be 90 minutes?

A C4 esque throwback of 8:30-9:30 BB, 9:30-10:30 Blind Date, 10:30-11:05 BB would've been a good compromise

thursdays are my fridays so i dont actually mind too much

supertv247
07-06-2017, 04:03 PM
Blind Date will air on Saturday 17th at 7-8:30pm and Friday 23rd 9-10:30pm

EDIT - it's actually 'the Paul O' Grady Show' airing at 9pm on Friday, after episode 2 of Blind Date at 8pm.......

Firewire
07-06-2017, 04:13 PM
Blind Date actually airs 8-9 on Friday, The Paul O'Grady Story is on between 9-10.30

supertv247
07-06-2017, 04:16 PM
So that means it's only a one off then, and looks like blind date will air before bbuk evictions every Friday following

tbh I don't mind it means I will see more evictions live

Having evictions on Thursday's is a really dumb move in general because LI doesn't have a Friday show so they don't have to worry about competition.

OK this love island obsession is confusing me. Have the producers said something about this or is it just others thinking its about LI?

Thursday evictions - good news. Should get more viewers as BBs target audience are all out getting pissed out of their heads and munching kebabs then puking in a taxi on a Friday night so figures should probably rise :p

07-06-2017, 04:37 PM

I swear they've moved evictions to Thursday before, even in the channel 4 days

Pete.
07-06-2017, 04:43 PM
If it's just the one off then that's fine but...

Jake.
07-06-2017, 04:44 PM
It really doesn't make a difference and the ratings for it might even improve

Firewire
07-06-2017, 04:47 PM
It'll mean it's only 60 minutes though if it moves permanently

thisisdanny
07-06-2017, 05:14 PM
Not too bothered about the eviction day changing - but having to schedule around Blind Date is ridiculous. They don't need 2 episodes a week, especially not 90 minute ones.

I mean evictions haven't rated that well over the past couple of years but I doubt that much thought has been put behind it.

07-06-2017, 05:21 PM
I'm guessing it's just to combat the fact people always go out on a Friday night. Not got a major problem with it really

07-06-2017, 05:32 PM
Nah. Friday evictions are and should always be Big Brother.

Will feel weird on a Thursday but shouldn't matter too much if it's just a one off. Should be Friday's consistently though, even if you go out and miss it I've stumbled in loads of times drunk and watched the eviction on record

Oh no! I loved to watch it on Friday nights or Saturday mornings (I'm not in the UK so I either watch it live or on Youtube)
Thursdays are for BB US, not BB UK :(

BBUK evictions in these weeks have always been on a Friday, Ch5 is literally trying to take everything away from the show that was iconic on Ch4.

We have had evictions on nearly every night of the week at some point, does it really matter?

Its not like thousands of people travel to see it on a Friday night with no work the next day. The audience is predominately from random shoppers at the Tesco's next door
