Arthur is trying TOO HARD to replicate Bear's winning formula and it's starting to come across as desperate and even the housemates are picking up on it now

Now he's throwing food all over the place... can he make it any more obvious ? lol

I know shame for Arthur that it's a VTE so he'll be out soon, unfortunately he'll survive against Sukhvinder and possibly Kayleigh and Rebecca as well

Though Bear has shagged Kayleigh. Not sure our Arthur's in with a chance.

i think people rather try and live the lives of hms as if they were in the house for 45 minutes a day

I think its nigh on impossible to try and do the things we suggest in 24 hours somehow knowing what will make the edit

Study Arthurs upbringing a little and his actions may become more believable

Thankfully. Woeful excuse of a housemate.

I saw another post you made about Arthur's upbringing and the programme you mentioned. I'm intrigued by Arthur and interested to hear your views as someone who has watched the programme and will understand him more. Can you elaborate for me?

Essentially his parents let the 4 children run riot around their mansion and 3000 acre estate, there was very little discipline and the children were encouraged to fight, swear and talk back and disagree with adults. He was brought up not necessarily with much wealth in terms of toys and games
etc but more that he was special, different from the majority and somewhat isolated. In many ways the BB house is the exact opposite to his life.

You can tell he's had no discipline in his life. He needs some guidance. Maybe a friend in there who he can confide to. Maybe Raph, since he's so compassionate?

Cheers for this, LeatherTrumpet.

Strangely, I was thinking that the BB house sounds very similar to the life you describe! People being encouraged to run riot, fight, swear, talk back and disagree!! All encouraged and enabled by BB, who would be the parents in this case!

You certainly get the sense of isolation from watching him.

I loathed Bear but I like Arthur.. Bear intentionally went out to wind people up..ridicule and deliberately get a reaction. Arthur isn't spiteful...I think he just says what he wants and doesn't really care...but from LT's post you can perhaps more understand his behaviour.

I remember seeing the Fing Fulfords way back in the day - the family has long been on reality TV shows - Arthur actually means "Bear" if thats a coincidence however Arthur has always been like this - he was on some show about three years back - he is the eldest of three siblings and this is how he is with them and his Dad - so its not an act - he might be similar to Bear but I dont think he is trying to be. Not as funny and not as heroic for saving the show from utter bores.

Bear and Arthur are both the stars of their season

And Bear was a bully and Arthur isn't(for now, time will tell)

I don't think Arthur is trying to cause friction on purpose. He's just used to doing what he likes. The result of his upbringing. But deep down I think he's a nice guy and very funny as well.

No he's just calling people terrible housemates, terrible "women", bringing up flat-earth debates in a task that had nothing to do with the subject, and throwing cereal all over the floor... nothing intentional about any of that...

I agree. I don't think he's trying to upset people on purpose. At least that's the way it comes across to me.

Arthur and Bear are nothing alike, Bear is an absolute tosser full stop and was a lot more malicious in the way her went about things. Arthur is just in his own world, i don't doubt he's not purposely tried to wind people up at times but everyone has that side to them.
