Arthur Fulford has revealed just why he quit Big Brother 2017 in a first chat after his exit.

Arthur says he did indeed choose to leave, as opposed to being ejected, saying it was because he felt "bullied and isolated"

on Sunday but little was said about his exit on the nightly highlights episodes.

A short statement released by Channel 5 at the weekend read simply: "Arthur has left the Big Brother house and will not be returning.
"See the housemates react on Big Brother tomorrow [Monday] night at 10pm, Channel 5."

Arthur's exit played out in last night's show but with no explanation offered as to why he had left.

Arthur was first seen going into the diary room. "After a confidential off-camera conversation," narrator Marcus Bentley then said, "Arthur will not be returning."

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Arthur said: “It all became way too much. I felt bullied and isolated."

He continued: "But at the same time I didn’t want to allow myself to become a victim.

“I knew what I was doing the whole time, winding people up, but it didn’t come from a place of malice.

“Every year Big Brother has a ‘cool group’ consisting of the young, good looking models. They treat the rest of us as their inferiors and that infuriated me!"

Arthur added: “One of my biggest fears in the house was how I was being perceived from the outside.”

Arthur was speaking to former Big Brother housemate Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace who went on to slam the housemates' treatment of him.

She said: "I felt SO uncomfortable watching Kayleigh go for Arthur by the sofas on Sunday, calling him all sorts and Chanelle laughing in his face saying 'look at him looking around for reassurance' YUCK! What nasty morons! Bunch of mean girls."

Big Brother continues nightly on Channel 5.

Poor guy, this isn't the first time a housemate has felt bullied and forced to leave..

Obviously we haven't seen everything but what I have seen I still stand by the fact he wasn't bullied. Whether he felt that way or not. In fact he says here himself "I knew what I was doing". So how can you have sympathy for someone that admits to baiting people?!

I liked Arthur and I hate he felt that way in the end but by his own admission he brought it on himself so no bullying in my eyes.

Tbf he didn't do himself any favors at all and the only housemate who was bordering bullying was Tom. Everyone else (rightfully) clocked him for his behaviour or comments.

I don't like Aisleyne, but she is spot on here,so good for her, shame Arthur felt he had to go,I think he could have won ,and Raph needs a good friend in there. They basically bullied him out the door .

It still doesn't especially explain why he was able to leave instantly as opposed to the whole "Big Brother suggests you sleep on it" thing that is normally used. Goes to show though that there are some pretty unpleasant characters in there this year.

He has been in an environment of anarchy all his life where people swore and fought and all sorts, so I don't swallow it that a few people swearing at him caused him any trauma at all. Its something he is well used to, I call utter bollocks

Oh my god this is HILARIOUS. AISLEYNE talk about pot calling kettle black one of the bitchiest housemates ever who had to be removed from the BBBOTS studio for throwing water. And ARTHUR feeling isolated. If he had done nothing wrong to any of the housemates yes of course that would be true. He started as early as night one tampering with one of the manequins then called housemates names locked their food into the storeroom told Kayleigh she WASNT a woman etc. He is trying to make headlines saying he felt isolated etc. If anyone believes that rubbish go ahead but there is more to this that he is admitting. And Aisleyne trying to stay relevant after all these years. WHAT HAS SHE ACTUALLY DONE WITH HER LIFE !!!!

Fair enough if he felt that way, but I'm judging based on what's been shown and what I've seen and I personally don't think he was. If I was going to take everything a housemate has ever said as fact, there would be no point in watching this show.

This, you can't really wind people up deliberately and then cry bullying when they react to it

He talks about the popular gang yet he still came for Hannah, Deborah, Sukhvinder, Imran and Chanelle who Raph says is not in the popular group so goes figure. He knows what he was doing, he knows he was bating them to cause a reaction and when he got one he can't stand it. He says he doesn't want to seem the victim yet he's claiming he's been bullied and isolated.

While Kayleigh was revolting, Arthur contradicts himself. He knew what he was doing, winding people up and then getting annoyed when people get away from him? Cause and effect, Arthur. You isolated yourself from them instead of standing on your two feet and acting like a grown up, like all the other so called unpopular housemates. Take responsibility.

Best post on this thread by a long way!!

The bloke has just openly admitted to winding people up on purpose. The only thing is when they dished it back he folded up. Simple as that really. Yet people still calling bullying?!

Kayleigh was awful in what she said but where I'm from you don't go around calling young women ***** or in fact saying they aren't a woman and just expect them to take it! The amount of women I see on here defending him despite this is frightening to be honest.

This bullying thing is a joke really.

No he scrubbed the kitchen floor so he could then cover it in porridge. He said as much when he was scrubbing it to Sukhvinder or are you just going to ignore that too?

If only he had lived up to the guy who was plotting Toms downfall (yeah, who is this Tom guy?)

He couldn't Tom was to strong, he wiped the floor with Arthur.

Hannah and Deborah had him by ignoring him.

Christ even the living manaquin Joe made it plain and simple he wouldn't be participating in any games.

Arthur was weak, one of the weakest hm's yet. His game plan was flawed from the off because of it.

The only fool to react was that gaping mess of a woman keyliegh or whatever..

Sukhvinder thanked him for doing it whilst he was doing it.

And he said something along the lines of - "I'm only doing it to say sorry for something I've not done yet. If I do a good thing then I won't feel as bad when I do what I'm going to do. I always think thst doing a good thing allows you to do bad things"

Not a direct quote but it was something like that. Sukhvinder looked confused. Pretty much the next highlight he was in he was shouting for the store room to be unlocked(despite the day before claiming it was never locked during the day) because he wanted a carrot! Then proceeded to pour porridge everywhere!

Do you think this was a coincidence given his recent comments since leaving?

I liked Arthur but he is coming across as more than a little salty since leaving.

Barry.

I know, but someone can take so much. So it was the right decision for him if he felt it was too much.
Had he not left, I hope he would have burnt the house down or destroy the clique's stuff and get out with a bang. It's either you take it, or you stand up for yourself at some point.

I'm baffled by people actually thinking he was bullied/ganged up on. If he didn't do anything to provoke it, fair enough, but are we watching the same show? Arthur clearly brought it all on himself. Miss me with the faux sympathy.
