The small amount of Love Island footage i've seen was truly, truly awful!!! Intellectually the people on there made even this year's BB housemates seem like the finalists from a series of University Challenge.

It just came across like a house full of the worst kind of C5 BB housemates. The appearance obsessed lot with the girls who act like their only purpose in life is to be treated really poorly and objectified/treated like meat by the guys and the guy's comparing pec's and sculpted eyebrows while sharing concealer tips. :sleep:

Maybe i didn't see enough to appreciate the show fully but to be perfectly honest i couldn't have forced myself to watch another second of it.

And to not sound bigheaded but of the demographic that you wouldn't want in I honestly feel like I would show these straight young male Housemates how to actually be interesting, although I wouldn't do the show they should think about picking people like me who aren't exactly like Lotan and Tom.

I haven't watched it this year but watched last season a lot, and in many ways it's similiar to BB with the vote format and the whole house footage but way more scripted but they obviously focus more on the relationship aspect and the pairings you are with rather then as individuals but the ratings don't lie even if a lot of them are boring and dull people still watch it because the production and Twists are way better then BB at the minute, they sell it so much better and it's not about lgbt or Diversity imo that's got nothing to do the ratings increasing or saving the show, Raph is favourite and he is gay and Suhkvinder and Imran for good or bad were the main focus for lot of the show before they left and the ratings are at a new low still, I judge them on how they are as a housemate rather then skin colour, ethnic background or their sexuality, not assed about any of that means nothing to me I'm just watching a Gameshow at the end of the day

Diversity is important on BB because your favourite Housemate of any year probably wouldn't have been half as good if they was just in with their clones.

The only pairing that integrated with the group properly were Kieran and Rebecca, the others all stuck to their partner and played a part in segregating themselves, which is why Hannah and Deborah are outcast. They also don't help themselves by bringing race into it EVERY single time, and last night with the "don't talk Tom, this is a conversation for women" thing. Hannah seems worse than Deborah for that kind of stuff, I think Deborah would get on with everyone more without her sister around.

I do think there should be some more diversity but its more about the content. theres many uninteresting lgbt people ive met so it wouldn't necessarily make it better

BB13 probably had one of the least "diverse" casts in terms of age/ethnicity/sexual orientation yet it was Channel 5's best series
