Why do some housemates wear specs with clear glass?

how do you know it is not optical glass, did you measure its optical properties?

Because if you look through the glass to the outer edge of the face and it's a straight line, they're clear glass.

Well i was a lens wearer and sometimes you just want them out of your eyes so rather than walk about half blind i put my spec's on - whats stupid about that ?

I wear glasses intermittently too.However they are prescribed optical lenses.Only for reading,telly,xbox,driving and General concentrating on things.Maybe these are the same?

If it is just clear glass then i'm in the dark tbh.Glasses don't exactly look cool.Unless its some kind of 'geek chique' type thing?
