I doubt it. As one person said it to be 'funny' and then it was suddenly used by others also. So if it was autocorrect it would have been happening consistently rather than never, then suddenly everywhere once a comedian thought up such hilarious misspells :D

Not sure if its aisleyne or Ashleigh but one of those 'nicknames' is filtered as it was so overused. it might even be both. When the 'Ash' part was changed to 'trash' in another humour attempt

The constant 'lotion' on here seemed to start right when DS started a thread about 'funny names' for housemates. before that there were no lotions. So if peoples autocorrect was changing it, people were changing it back themselves until they realised how absolutely hilarious it was to just say lotion instead :umm2:

Every year it happens, and every year its childish and the same few people spamming the names all over in their humour attempts. I think I moan about it every year too on a thread similar to this, which may well be started by black dagger each time too. Deja vu :joker:

I think it's mostly just auto correct Raph is allways turned to Ralph whenever I type.....unfortuneatly there are trolls on here who do find it amusing to misspell his name which I don't get.

It doesnt really bother me once I know who the poster is talking about if I am honest. Its the least bothersome thing on here

Often I get autocorrected to ralph for ralphael so its my phone but it does not help when parents try to spell a common name slightly differently to try to be different like Isabel (or Isobell) being now Isabelle. I also get Lotion all the time from my phone as it wont deal with LoTan

Also it does not help that the new peoples names are not yet up in the top bit so you cant glance up to check

I think some people have more aggressive autocorrect than others depending on phone model and keyboard app used so really its more a technical issue

And just for reference if I type in Blackdagger to my phone it suggests Blandpanda and that isnt shade its just my phone so really I am just saying :)
