The Ellie thing with Lotan. If you liked someone as much as Ellie likes Lotan, but he told you he wasn't interested like that, would you still follow him around like a lost puppy? Do everything he says basically and allow him to pick you up and drop as he so pleases?

No, I'd have more pride. I think that was one reason why Lotan didn't want Sam in the house. Lotan knew Sam liked Ellie and although he doesn't want her himself, he likes to have her panting after him.- He's a prick.
