If they really wanted to save her, they coukd have hid her from the highlights for a week and made a tit out of the main competitors. I think this was just done for BOTS's viewership sake.
I honestly think they just did it because the number of votes is probably really low. They are probably trying to drum up interest rather than save anybody.

Yes there are certain characters they wish to keep. But making $ is the main aim really

Actually. That 35% who voted might feel like theyve done a good job, and vote less hard today - maybe it could save her.

Yep
This would have been the perfect opportunity to get rid of some dispensable housemates and not rock the boat at all and allow the series to progress in the promising fashion it was showing over the weekend. As it is with VTE possibly back permanently, this series may well be over
