this exactly it. People who would normally vote once maybe vote 3 times instead = 3 times the revenue, but the result is the same

The producers are reeking of desperation this series with this and VTS and Thursday evictions etc.What else are they going to try?
It wouldn't surprise me if they start manufacturing drama now it's all gone quiet.

I doubt they will fake the figures, but i am convinced its about revenue more than a twist. Other countries have done it and broke all voting records. The one anomaly is that up to press i doubt that more than 25% of the total votes to be cast are in and 75% are pending. If isabellend is still out there tonight, she will go, but if the percentages change dramatically, we know the voting tallies are minimal in total of votes cast.

I think you will find if they publish votes and percentages, this allows their figures to be officially scrutinised as massaging the percentages to gain more votes is fraudulent and they wouldnt risk it. Too many people in their offices know what the truth is and all they need is one fired and disgruntled employee to spill the beans.

Doubt producers actually care that much about who goes, because lets be honest most of them have cause drama. But I feel like they've barely got any votes and they revealed them to shake it up and get money.

Yeah, i agree that it's unlikely that they would get away with blatantly posting fake or non-accurate figures as there is (i believe) pretty strict independent monitoring of public voting on 'game/talent shows' since 'BGT' and others were caught and fined but i've said for years now that with there being such significantly lower amounts of votes placed it would be very easy for them to send out a few of their runners with mobiles to vote for certain people to swing the vote and (as they can see in real time what the figures are) stop it when everything's exactly how they want it.

Very easy to do and effectively, as they're the recipients of the vote cash, it would cost them nothing. They end up keeping whoever they perceive to be their main attractions and, especially when they manipulate voters to make them vote more than they normally would, they still make a healthy profit.

It's a win/win situation for BB, the viewers/voters think everything's all fair and above board (and the 'independent adjudicator' type people couldn't prove a thing even if they suspect it).

I probably made it sound more complex than it is but it's very do-able and, as long as they only involve people that can keep quiet (or cannot afford not to!) then it's pretty near fool-proof. :shrug:
