From Sky News

Celebrity socialite Paris Hilton has been ordered to appear in court next month over a parole violation that could land her in prison.

The decision came after a behind-closed-doors legal conference with prosecution and defence lawyers in Los Angeles.

Superior court judge Michael Sauer said Hilton must attend in person for a hearing on May 4.

The blonde heiress, who is one of the world's most photographed women, landed in hot water after she was caught driving on a suspended licence.

In January, Hilton pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving stemming from an arrest in Hollywood last September.

She was sentenced to 36 months probation, alcohol education and £700 in fines.

Hilton was pulled over again on Sunset Boulevard on February 28.

Police said they saw her blue Bentley Continental GTC speeding with its headlights off.

She was ticketed for misdemeanour driving with a suspended licence.

Hilton's spokesman Elliot Mintz said at the time that she was not aware her licence was suspended.

If convicted of violating parole, Hilton could be jailed for up to 90 days, according to Nick Velasquez of the City Attorney's Office.

Wonder if she'll be able to take her pooch in with her?

^^Who cares^^

I hope she goes down. A spell inside might straighten her out. No doubt she'll have her supporters on this forum and I, personally, don't understand why. In light of recent tragedies the whole thing has been put into perspective. I think people should dedicate more of their time to supporting worthy causes and not to supporting pampered celebrities who only have themselves to blame for the scrapes that they constantly get themselves into.

Spot on there G, Paris will not go to jail though..... celebs dont when they have this amount of money. The most she will get is a fine and or community service

Oh god! 90 days, isn't that 3 months?

Nicole's courtcase is on the 30th April and Paris' is on the 4th May. And yes Girth, I will be supporting both of them.

How about supporting the families of the VT victims. Put your effort into something worthwhile and not spoilt celebrities who deserve what they get.

Of course it's up to you who you support but, it's strange you know the days of Parcoles trials but you've missed the biggest story in the world right now. That's all I was trying to say in my post earlier on today, perhaps Parcole fans should spend a little bit more time on other events in the world. that's all.

I dont really read papers either. They're full of lies and crap about people. I know I wouldn't like it if stuff was spread about me in the papers, so why I should enjoy reading about it happening to others seems wrong to me.

Are you saying that Paris is not on trial and the original story is false?

Sophie said she doesn't read papers, so I said I don't either and explained why. I didn't say it was crap about Paris, because it obviously isn't.

Yes, I know the dates of the trials because I'm a fan. I know you have a problem with the fact that I'm a fan of theirs, but I don't care.

Can we all chill and keep this on topic and not let it degrade into a mud slinging match between members. There is no need for comments like:

God you p**s me off sometimes.
It will only lead to a fight and the thread being closed.

Its not about coping... I doubt that anyone wants to go to jail but if you break the law I am afraid there are consequences

If you do the crime then pay the time. She is no different from anyone else.

Ahhh but dont you see Red..... she is welthy and has a powerful daddy...... "please dont take me to jail I want to party some more"

Red Moon

Then she should do twice the time and be made an example of.

There must be something else they can get her for like wearing inappropriate underwear in public, making porn movies, lewd behaviour, snorting cocaine, smoking pot or just having to much dam money..

Ohh no! By depressing stories, I meant killing and bombings and stuff. But there are loads of untrue stories all the time about celebrities that annoy me.

But in context of to a lot of the stories in the press they are pretty unimportant.

For example 233 people died in Iraq today and we are arguing about a 90 day possible prison sentence for someone that broke the law and getting so worked up about it. What is more important one of their lives or Paris Hilton going to jail for something she did?

Like I said if she did the crime she should do the time. Punishments should be no different for rich or poor or white or black. Justice for all.

Oi leave Britney alone, her case was different and she was in a obvious bad situation, that was completely out of charater for her.

anyway,I do find it scary that people didnt know about the VT shootings.

If paris (or nicole) commited a crime, they should pay like everyone else.

I find it quite scary too. How can someone live in their own little Parcole world. They can quote the dates of the trials but no nothing of the biggest story in the news at the moment. It's also quite scary that no one they know would inform them. No one at home or at school. Or perhaps they just aren't interested in anything other the talented Paris and Nicole. Unbelievable.

Maybe I don't want to know about the VT shootings!I hate reading stories about killings and tradegies, they are upsetting. You've had a problem with me being a fan of Parcole since day one, I know it!

[b]Insulting other members is not allowed on the TiBB and can and will result in warnings being given.

I understand feelings are running high so I haven't issued a warning this time but if it happens again I will.

Insult removed and copy retained in admin for reference.
