I don't know how to create polls but I just wanted to create this thread to ask if any of the loyal BB fans (like I have been) are enjoying Love Island much more than BB so far. I never ever thought it wold happen as BB is my number one and I so look forward to it every year but from the start of week two on BB I think it has just gone downhill. Even tonights second chance housemates WHO SHOULDNT be getting a second choice when the public and housemates didn't want them in there will be TROUNCED in my opinion by the love island second villa with all the girls being visited by new guys and the boys by new girls. Anyone switched sides like I have ?
I have never given up on BB even though some years are way ahead of others but I am really looking forward to Love Island not Big Brother tonight

I have always been a massive BB fan, and as of last series I am love island too. However, BB still comes out on top for me, easily.
Love Island has proper on the edge of your seat stuff with regards to the brilliantly executed twists and evictions, but at the same time if I miss an episode I can never be bothered to catchup - BB on the other hand I still love, and never miss an episode, and if I do I catch up ASAP. Regarding the 4 new housemates, I am SO excited for them and very happy they're getting a second chance. Love islands twist is much bigger but I'm still more excited for BB

I enjoy both shows, and initially I was much preferring Love Island to BB this year... but I actually feel this series improved (bar the boring last few episodes) and I'm liking it more than Love Island.
The last two years Love Island has been miles better than BB though (because Timebomb was just so bad and Love Island 2 was a really strong season), and I think the strength Love Island has is consistency. There's more room for the show to do things without it seeming like blatant rigging as there's not scheduled recouplings/evictions that the audience know about that far in advance, whereas BB is known for following a schedule and format, which in recent years it hasn't been doing and is trying to make itself a hybrid of other popular shows. If I want to watch showmances and drama around couples, I'll watch Love Island... its the premise of the show and they do it better, and BB needs to get this into their heads rather than trying to emulate what made other shows popular and instead focus on what made it a show that lasted for so long.
Sorry for the long winded reply :P but yeah... just my thoughts on the whole thing. I still prefer BB, but that's due to how much I loved older seasons and how I've generally enjoyed this year much more than recent editions of the show...

Never seen LI. The concept does not appeal to me.
