Not sure what the problem is though? If she's proud of her Nigerian heritage and is used to hearing accents like that at home what's the issue?
I'm half African and slip into the occasional african accent from time to time, it's not harming anyone?

It's just odd, as unless she only associates with other Nigerians she would have a mixture of London/Nigerian not this full on accent like she got off the plane, I think she is putting it on...

First of all, it was Miss Nigeria UK, meaning only British-Nigerians are eligible.
Secondly, it was Hannah who won the title, not Deborah.

Yeah, SHOCKINGLY this really isn't a big deal at all. It reminds me of my friend from college who pretty much had her "I'm being interviewed for a job by a white person" voice on when she was on campus and then otherwise had her natural "black" voice and would use that vernacular.

Deborah said she was born in Nigeria, and raised in East London. She's putting on the accent but the ease of it shows it's likely one she may adopt when speaking with her family or community, many of whom will be first generation Nigerian immigrants. It's not difficult to understand, unless of course you haven't mixed with many people from varied backgrounds.

Who said she can only adopt the accent when speaking to someone of Nigerian heritage? Perhaps she finds it more emotive to adopt this accent when she's being light hearted or criticising someone in a facetious manner (like questioning Raph's flirting techniques). Unless people have forgotten Pauline would do the exact same thing when she got angry, and would break into different accents when criticising others. Ellie's accent becomes exaggerated when she's in the diary room trying to be comedic, Jackson's accent would change between a soft spoken dialect and wannabe roadman depending on how he was feeling. This isn't an unusual or new phenomena in Big Brother (or life for that matter).

And this is relevant how? Again, she has Nigerian heritage so the use of an accent isn't surprising. There isn't a written rule that one can only use an accent when in the company of those who also use it ... in that case should Ellie tone it down unless BB is from Yorkshire?

The accent is put on but its just a thing a lot of people in London do. Like a lot of my friends dip in and out of the african accent. It's done in a jokey way but a lot of times you do it without realising.
not sure why people do it but at times done when lecturing someone, its meant to be funny like you're imitating your african elders (parents, aunties etc).
Toya did it also but heres another example of someone raised in London who does it.

Both sisters have occasionally spoke with Nigerian accents throughout their whole time on the show, I don't know why people are making a big deal out of it.
