View Full Version : Charlotte was it unfair to brand her boring in the first couple of weeks?

Now that Charlotte has come out of her shell and we're seeing more of her do you think it was unfair to brand her as boring so early on? I don't know about you but I'm not someone who comes out of their shell straight away like a lot of my friends thought I was shy when they first met me but I'm really quite the opposite. So I kind of got Charlotte in the first few weeks.

Every series there are some stand out characters right at the beginning who are normally involved in all the drama and there are some housemates who take the back seat for a bit only to come out of their shell later and end up being pretty fab. In those first few weeks however everyone demands the big (sometimes overbearing) characters are saved over the ones with potential. Housemates like Vanessa, Craig (bb6), Stue (bb5), Laura & Evelyne (BB17) were all called boring and ended up being pretty fab. Is Charlotte another victim of this?

eh no not really, I mean I'm sure she's not boring in real life when she's out with her friends and that but she has been boring as a BB contestant

i also branded her boring after a while, but i find her kinda funny yet she remains so calm and relaxed in conversations

i think she was boring the first weeks, but that's just pretty normal, no experience with reality tv

i wouldn't dare to call her ''iconic'' ''bb legend'' ''kween'' cause that would be overrating her, but she is improving now at least more than Tom or Joe who have stayed the same throughout the series :)

I quite enjoyed her yesterday, would rather see more of her than another second of Ellie.

I can't fully bring myself to like her sorry, especially after she called her clique a "gang". She needs an esteem lowering there

you can just appreciate her, not really need to like or stan her if you don't want

oh well she just called the clique a gang, yeah her, Ellie and Kieran, she usually hangs the most with them or with Deborah and on just a few times with Raph :)

A lot of people call their group of friends "the gang" seems like a silly thing to call her up on.

The stuff that I've put in bold are almost like an alternate Reality to what I've watched.

In particular with Charlotte if the only way she isn't gonna be invisible is to talk about Masturbation then she's not a very good Housemate.

Stue was funny towards the end and it was fun watching his random characters etc. Also I don't mean the masturbation talk but she seems to be having conversations with more people and making her voice more heard. She also seems to have an ok sense of humour and I can see her being an aright housemate. Not every housemate has to be loud and outrageous to be interesting watching that daily for 9 weeks can get tedious imo.

Stuart wouldn't even have been seen without Michelle and Victor's presence in the house imo, he was a complete bore in my view.

And with Charlotte it's not that she's quiet, I like Raph and Deborah and they're quiet most of the time, it's the fact that when Charlotte speaks she has nothing interesting to say on top of being invisible most of the time, it's not exactly endearing to watch imo.

look Mock you've got your point, but Charlotte just seems relaxed and sometimes watching at a relaxed housemate is also very comfortable between all the irritating hm's :)

Theres so many scenes of him being a complete weirdo maybe you should rewatch.
I've just been interested in charlotte in the past few hls I think she's been alright.

Stuart to me was too childish, and mumbled way too much that I could barely understand what he was saying. He was basically another dull attractive male who had zero personality and somehow scraped into the top 5.:joker:

And with Charlotte she actually kind of reminds me of a female Stuart actually.

I don't hate Charlotte as a person, it's just that she's incredibly dull.

However I'd keep her around over Elleh & Kieran who are really overrated imo.

I disliked them all for different reasons, but I did find Kayleigh the most entertaining of the 3.

I would have to disagree with you there, when I went into my BB5 watch I was expecting him to be really dull and pointless because of what I had seen of him but I ended up really like him and finding him funny.

Charlotte has discovered a niche, something like... dry wit...maybe. It could be a very potent weapon is beating Chanelle's thoughts on taking a dump/farting and Ellie's plumpness + delicious contempt for Sam (the real winner!).

It is very interesting to see how far she might go now.

I still think she is boring

Theres nothing to her besides sex talks. And even those seem pretty forced, as if she thinks it will endear her to the public to be so OTT in descriptions and stuff. Mind, they have heard the cheers for Chanelle so maybe they do think its all the crude talk. Or maybe having a dirty mouth/mind just rubs off on everyone around you...given even Deborah is showing her clit to people these days :joker:

I so wish we had lost Charlotte instead of Mandy week 1. I think Mandy would have been a great housemate.

Taking about vaginas and penises is boring. This is all she talks about in the HL shows.

She is too dry for my liking, life is bad enough without having to put up with dry sarcastic people.

Shes nice looking though, just shame about her personality, I just find her too dry and immature to like.
