Big Brother is still on our screens, but Endemol UK – the production company behind the hit reality series – is already looking at ways to spice up the show for next year.

Love Island has surged in popularity this series, and Endemol chief creative officer Peter Salmon suggested that the ITV2 show is on its mind.

"I think Love Island has been sensational," he said (via the Daily Star).

"If Big Brother is not on top form, we have to keep changing it. You have got to get at it creatively to think what its next manifestation will be."

And it seems nothing is off the table right now – even a location change.

"Listen, we should not rule anything out," Salmon said when asked about a potential move abroad.

"I am really positive about the future."

Digital Spy has reached out to Channel 5 for comment.

Big Brother still has an extremely passionate fanbase, so there's no reason for concern regarding the Channel 5 show.

I actually don't mind tbh.
One season of BB Croatia was filmed in Thailand and the house was DOPE.

I will miss the house for sure, but that's a change I don't mind.

Epic.

Watch it be on an island and be a Survivor/Love Island mesh mess

It would ruin the show's legacy and why do they want to copy Love Island?

Ratings mean ads mean money mean Big Brother.

How pointless, im pretty sure its confirmed channel 5 have a show in the works that starts soon which takes aspects of love island and ex on the beach and melds them into one. I think its called We’re On A Break. So to move big b over abroad is just silly.

It was a flop ratings wise though. The show was canceled after that season.

Wouldn't mind another location for BBUK though. Implementing BBUSA format would be even better but can't see that happening tbh.

Never mind trying to be like Love Island, just try to be like BB was when it was good. Better casting, better tasks, no interference.

Why don't they just stop funding the extra money into pointless ventures, when the simple thing to get the viewers back is give them what they originally were here for.

- 12 housemates
- regular folk from around the UK (that audition!)
- plonk them in a house for 8-10 weeks
- shopping tasks that actually last 3-4 days
- treats/alcohol only given if they win special tasks
- nominations in the diary room
- no outside influences
- 24/7 live stream

Yeah, it did! Never watched that season but I remember the awesome house and its exotic vibe!

It'd be weird having evictions without audience though!

they just need to ditch the z-listers, get NORMAL people and not interfere.

If it continues as it is let's hope it just gets shown abroad too.

C5 need to spend less time intefering with the show and more time listening to the viewers.

Ratings mean ads mean money mean Big Brother.

Big Brother will outrate Love Island again if they made it like how it was on Ch4.

People of all age groups prefer Reality TV when it's less scripted and less Showmance obsessed.

Love Island isn't a success because it's filmed abroad.

Why would more people watch BB if it was filmed in Bangladesh?

It's almost as stupid as Simon Cowell thinking that people will tune into X Factor because the auditions are held at a Theme Park

I would attempt to watch it, even if it did move, not sure I'd be impressed by the change though

Maybe they can move into BBCAN house if global doesnt renew next year (maybe N A format too?)

The house to move to Greece and Sam Kay to re-enter with her exit interview being about the monetary crisis?

Not that this is a legit story, but when trying to take pointers from Love Island (which they should be doing), this is exactly the kind of thing the vacuous twats at C5 would pull...as if people enjoy Love Island cause it's abroad :umm2:

Hmm I'd be here for the BBUS format now /jack

:cheer2:

Are you joking? I've finally managed to convince someone it might be worth a go?

If they want to revamp BB then this is what I'd do for next year.

January series - CBB20 airs with it's usual Z-Listers, and after a month it ends.

May/June series - Back to basics Civilian Big Brother, Live Feed subscription service on the Channel 5's official website. No contact with the outside world, normal nominations unless someone breaks the rules by discussing nominations. And people from all walks of life enters the house with no Agents. I also would make more of an emphesis on fun tasks and Housemates rather than constant arguments and showmances.

August series - BBUSA format where the Housemates can win HOH, nominate two people, and the Housemate can save themselves by winning the POV. The only thing that I'd drop from the BBUSA format is the backdooring that just happens nearly every week in it's current form, if a Housemate wants to take a Housemate out by stealth, then the HOH or one of the HOH's allies will have to win the task to do the backdoor. And there would be no public twists to aid any Housemates in the game. And certainly no returnees every 5 seconds.

And I'd create a fourth series around November or something.

Big Brother meets Survivor where 12 Housemates split into two teams of 6 go head to head in dangerous challenges, there will be reward challenges, and immunity challenges, on the immunity challenges whichever team loses is the team that then has to vote a member of their team off.

What do you guys think to my ideas?

I seriously doubt this is true, but if it is it's a lame and blatant attempt at love island. :bored:
