This is not a Raph hate thread , nor a baiting thread , I am just generally curious as to why people think he is a great housemate ? people say Charlotte, Keiran , Tom etc are essentially boring and want them out, but never mention Raph as equally boring, what has he actually done that stands out :shrug: He is a nice guy, but surely his popularity must be solely because he is a TIBB member, if he was not , I am sure he would be named as one of the ones that should go all the time ,are people worried if they are not supporting him that it might have an impact on TIBB if he ever comes back? I am sure he is not that petty as to dislike people who supported others, maybe some think it will be like talking to a celeb if he comes back and they chat to him , I don't know, as I said nice enough guy,but not really very exciting or dynamic to watch ?

yes i agree, i also can't say anything bad about him, cause he's my friend on here, but he isn't involved in many arguments, i was happy this week about Charlotte opening up, this week twice against Chanelle (but they talked it out and i want them to become friends) and Sue, which she was right on a few points


so yeah i want Raph to have some good arguments to impress us as a housemate, cause he's a bit boring

He hasnt tbh Kazanne. I am sure he is a nice guy but i dont see much of a character there at all.

He's my kind of housemate, he has done a lot and not in any malicious way either.
He does the tasks,is there at all Parties.
Not the noisiest housemate,nor the quietest.

When we get the chats with others they are more interesting as he doesn't engage in the tedious sex talk.
He is no way interested in any showmance storyline,which is another plus.

For me there is not much to dislike and far more to like.
I guess looking for faults where there are none,is a good hobby for some.

He is as many know already on here a decent nice guy.
As a housemate that is how he has come across in my view all through.
When did being decent and nice,become a crime?
That requires negativity to be thrown at such people just over n a pulling down agenda of some.

100% Bore and I agree Kazanne if he wasn't a member on here he wouldn't be liked, he would be called the house bore,as you say he's done NOTHING ....I watched him last night in the Hunt and he's is so pathetic ,his stupid face once again like he's on a firing squad line up :umm2: and one hand over one eye ,like a child does hoping you don't see them ....He truly is a waste of an hm8 ,but with some will be fawned over and treat as a celeb on here if he comes back

I think hes been a good addition to the house, but I've always been a fan of diversity. The rest of the house come across, for the most part, as idiots and Raph does not. The c5 era loves a good z-lister so its good to see someone like Raph. Charlottes been my favourite clique member most the way through it for a similar reason.
I think he comes across loyal, and a hell of a lot more genuine than the majority of them, its cool that hes not relying on dramatics, arguments, or showmances, and he has great taste in friends, because lets be real - the exiles are just better people. He cares about the show and his place in it.
(I'm not going to but) if I, or actually, all of TiBB, created lists as to why we dislike the housemates, I'd imagine his list would be the shortest. Aside from his VT, which was genuinely terrible, he hasnt really stepped a foot out of line.
Most of his hate comes from the members who regularly go against popular opinion, and his hate is a lot heavier on tibb than it is any other social platform, which speaks volumes...

Joey I didn't say being nice was a crime,hell I wanted Sam to win and he was 'nice' and he was slated on here, I am just asking what he has done that separates him out from the others ? Is he a fave because he is a TIBB member,or is he a fave because he is a great housemate ? and if the answer is the latter then you must include Keiran , Charlotte and Tom as he is about on a par with them as a housemate.I wasn't having a go at him at all.

On several occasions we've seen him stand there while someones attacked one of his mates in there, and not once has he defended them

I think Raph is doing very well in there. He's making friends and he's being himself. So what if he's a game player? It's a game show, so they're all game players really.

I feel like youre judging them by levels of airtime, and thats not really how people watch the show? All five of their personalities are starkly different to one another. I liked Sam, he was a nice lad, I dont like Tom, he is a prick - the only thing thats similar was the proportion of airtime they had so its an odd parallel to make imo.

Yes ,lets be real,he only has 'great taste' in mates because they are your faves too,so we wont get a true answer to that as none of us really know that.people will talk about him here more as he is a member.

There was so much more going on in the house, but they only show these two. For example we saw Raph cooking with the boys. Raph and Tom have come such a long way.

I think he's a good Housemate. Much better than many in there. I don't think Charlotte is a great housemate, but again it's just my opinion. We all like different things in a housemate. I much prefer a quieter one to a loudmouth.

I think he has as many bad points as he has good...he has been bitchy and gossiped. He has stirred up the emotions of his friends knowing full well they would react then stands and watches the drama unfold...something he has admitted he likes doing...and not once has he stood up for his friends in front of others.
On the other hand he isn't a bad guy...he isn't loud and in your face and he isn't your typical BB contestant and I have enjoyed discussing him because I have judged him as a housemate and not someone from here.
We are all friends on here aren't we?....just because we have different opinions on housemates doesn't make us enemies. If Raph comes back on here..because he most likely will I would like to think he will treat me indifferently just because I and others have exposed negative points against so many of the positive ones on here. No one is perfect let's be honest.

As of now I don't think any of the housemates are boring. I understood at the start of the show Charlotte/Kieran had very little airtime, but as of recently they both are doing okay. This is what I dislike the most about him, I hate back stabbing and sneakiness ,I prefer someone to say what they have to say face to face,not go behind backs to load the gun for someone else to fire it ,and he's lied often when he's told tales behind backs, then goes into his "Firing squad" mode with his hand over one eye,he's a nasty little man ,I too am judging him on him as a hm8 because I dont remember him from here ...... 1 Thing that stands out to me is him going in the diary room playing hell about Lotan calling women bitches, the following day someone posted on here Raph calling women bitches in several posts.. THIS is one of the things that make him the fake he is

I've only come back to this forum since last year, don't remember Raph from on here but as an overall view I have to say there are "blind" supporters of most of the housemates.

What I mean by that is they refuse to see any negative in their favourites, whereas all people have a bad side. Sooner people realised that and got a sense of humour about it the better.

My favourite at the moment is Izzy, I've loved her since she came in but I can still see her faults. I think she's sticking by Andrew too much and that could be her downfall for example.

I also love Deborah but I'm willing to acknowledge that she's done wrong as well.

It's called adult discussion lads.

I've just enjoyed Raph as a housemate, I've found his quirks and laugh really cute and endearing. I think he has more layers to his personality than your average BB housemate.

- Raph was Arthur's only support week 1
- Chanelle/Raph friendship
- Joe feud
- Brilliant during fight night (he helped keep Deborah in the bloody house)
- Handled the unwanted attention from Andrew brilliantly
- Always game during tasks and spin the bottle etc
- Brilliant at nominations

Yup. This has been a huge problem this year and we have tried to sort it but it seems to be getting worse so bans will have to be given soon as warnings aren't working clearly. I do not understand how posting a negative thread is 'purposely picking' or 'looking for faults' or something. And those going from thread to thread just saying, for example, 'another raph hate thread' are really getting annoying now as so many warnings have been given yet are totally ignored. Can you not see how this is baiting and unnecessary really?!

For the record, its also against the rules the opposite way. If someone was going into every positive raph thread saying 'oh look, yet another love in' and nowt else, that would also be baiting and spam.

Defending is obviously fine. You have NEVER (that I have seen) just entered a thread to say 'another X hate thread' and leave it at that. You always think through your posts and actually add opinions to them. The issue is when its just hopping from thread to thread adding nothing to the actual discussion... and as I said, it applies the opposite way too. if someone made a positive thread and another member came on just to say 'look, yet another X love thread' that is also against the rules.

If a housemate does a few things that people talk about, there will be a few different threads on them. Take Lotan for example. Yes I think this too..the cast him to be some massive controversial character :D I can't believe they still fall for it though, obviously people exaggerate or completely make up new personas to actually get on the show. It happens year after year and people still seem shocked when the HM is nothing like their VT :D

They are not HATE threads...they are opinions on a housemate over an issue observed watching the show...either positive ir negative. So long as its a reasonable explanation referring to an incident and offers an opinion whats the problem.
If people were posting derogative comments about a housemate not related to an incident shown etc...then that maybe viewed differently.

This is not a Raph hate thread , nor a baiting thread , I am just generally curious as to why people think he is a great housemate ? people say Charlotte, Keiran , Tom etc are essentially boring and want them out, but never mention Raph as equally boring, what has he actually done that stands out :shrug: He is a nice guy, but surely his popularity must be solely because he is a TIBB member, if he was not , I am sure he would be named as one of the ones that should go all the time ,are people worried if they are not supporting him that it might have an impact on TIBB if he ever comes back? But now they all get on well. Only Sue and Simone seem somewhat isolated. The divide is gone and the original housemates all hang out with each other. Otherwise we wouldn't see Raph cooking with the lads.
