BB12, 13, 14 era or BB15, 16, 17, 18

Which era of BB on Channel 5 do you prefer?

I'm putting BB14 with 12 and 13 because even though it was the first 'themed' series it wasn't really a whole series theme like PT and Timebomb where it was made up as they went along aha

BB12,13,14

- Series lengths 64-70 days
- Zero live feed (until BB14)
- Samey housemates
- Fewer nomination twists
- Tacky editing
- Brian (Jamie, Alice, AJ :love: )
- House designs fairly basic and blingy

BB15,16,17,18

-Shorter in length
-More RTV housemates
- Live feed after evictions and launch (generally)
- Emma and Rylan
- Noms twists, backdoor evictions ect
- More C4 like eyes and house designs
- Better editing

It's a close one for me, they both have good points and a lot of bad points :laugh:

I do miss the silliness of early C5 BB sometimes especially after Helen Wood and the travesty that was Bully Brian Belo week and stuff like that

I really can't pick because 13 & 14 were good but 17 & 18 have been good...
I think I'd say BB15 & 16 are not the same era as BB17 & BB18 though. Plus BB14 is in the Emma era unlike 12 & 13 so I'd say that's different

I'd say it's the Brian era of BB12,13 then the themed era of BB14,15,16 then 'changing' era (new game BB17, back to basics BB18) although I'd say 14 stands out itself in that middle era

I get your point but I wouldn't say BB17 and BB18 are that different, I've enjoyed them a lot more than the Helen Wood years but they still have some of the nasty tropes we didn't see before like Tweet tasks and say something bad about everyone to win a party task. There's been less of it this series thankfully though

I really don't agree with this split. BB15 and 16 are very different to 17 and 18 IMO, and 14 doesn't fit with 13.

I would split them:

15/16
17/18

And it's between 14 and 17/18 for me.

The early days felt like a low budget media GCSE version of the show. BB13 was only a good series because of the housemates. The show now is better overall it's just too heavily manipulated.

12,13,14 were the best, they felt more like big brother compared to the last few years where its all constant twists and turns and Z-listers.

BB13 and BB14 were the best Ch5 series imo.

BB12 really suffered majorly with the editing and piecing together of the series, it was almost like TOWIE. I think BB14 is when they fixed the editing properly and the show became better, but BB13 in itself was just brilliant because of the housemates and it wasn't as manipulated.
