There was a Studio in LA called Sound City where some of the all time classic albums were recorded. From Fleetwood Mac 'Rumors' right through to 'Nevermind' Nirvana were done there.
They had one of the classic Neve Consoles that they bought new in the early '70s and it cost them $70,000 US even back then.
When they closed their doors in 2011 Dave Grohl purchased the Neve Console and had it installed in his home studio. Lucky Bugger! :laugh:
