What's the big deal about Raph not winning?

Because the winners are clearly always the best and most memorable housemates. Anything other than 1st place is EMBARRASSING.
2nd place, 3rd place, first evictees or even ejectees are never more memorable, vital or made the show what it was.

Raph getting 2nd makes that a bigger achievement then, beating out all of the latecomers and originals bar Isabelle.
