'He would always have wanted me to do better': Debbie McGee reveals late husband Paul Daniels would have given 'notes' on her Strictly dances... as she vies for the Glitterball trophy

https://img.networthpost.com/thumbs/569058_debbie-mcgee/569058_debbie-mcgee_1.jpeghttp://www.dailyecho.co.uk/resources/images/1087656.jpg?display=1&htype=100000&type=responsive-gallery

But despite her success, brave recent widow Debbie McGee has revealed her husband Paul Daniels would still have given her 'notes' about her Strictly Come Dancing performances, if he was still alive.

Speaking to the Mirror, the 49-year-old admitted her late husband would 'always have wanted her to do better' - and that she channels his famous confidence on the dance floor.

While Debbie has dazzled on the series and is the GBP fave since week one and landed a place in the grand final, the star admits Paul would still have found things to improve in her dancing, if he was alive to watch.

When I was with Paul he gave me confidence so when I lost him I felt a bit lost because I didn’t have that person that’s saying, ‘Yeah, you can do this’.”

Debbie is now preparing to fight for the Glitterball trophy on Saturday night, against sullen Alexandra Burke 36, happy Joe McFadden and beauty Gemma Atkinson.

Last weekend, the beauty and her partner Giovanni Pernice wowed viewers with a Foxtrot to Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder, and a Jive to I’m So Excited by the Pointer Sisters.

Her triumphant run on the show saw her awarded with first perfect 40 of the series - including a 10 from notoriously difficult to please judge Craig Revel Horwood who wants her to win.

http://tv.bt.com/images/debbie-mcgee-wears-wedding-ring-at-strictly-event-136423695796502601-171214103036.jpg

Debbie McGee showed off her wedding ring as she and the other Strictly Come Dancing finalists arrived for an event ahead of the show’s grand finale.

The broadcaster, 59, has previously explained that she does not wear her wedding ring – from her marriage to late magician Paul Daniels – while taking part in the show because it could be dangerous to herself and dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

She told ITV’s This Morning: “If Giovanni grabs my hand and gets me, and I haven’t got big stones, but I could scratch him or pull a finger off.”

McGee was joined by Pernice at the press conference, as well as fellow finalists , Gemma Atkinson and Joe McFadden.

As Joe has said himself, the only dancing he did in musicals was comical.
Debbie was not only a fully trained ballet dancer but a dancer when she met Paul Daniels, Alexandra has danced all her life.
I do know the difference between ballroom dancing, ballet and any other dancing, but I also know you have to be very disciplined in ballet, as in ballroom.
I prefer it when a dancer has improved each week wins rather than a professional from the start wins.

Alexandra hasn't done professional ballroom or Latin , Joe has still done dancing which ever way you look at it and for all we know he probably went to stage school. Most actors do dance in their younger years .

Debbie yes has done ballet but this is still a new ball game for her and once again not a trained ballroom or Latin dancer .

Most of the celebs in Strictly have some fitness advantage or some dance ability but they're all still learning completely new dances for the first time :nono:.

About half the contestants this year looked like dance virgins like they've never played wii dance , let alone done a dance lesson . But the other half either have fitness advantage or some natural rythm and dance ability.

Utter BS ,to grieve them is natural but to use them is a different thing

But chuff let's be honest you seem to drag anyone who mention's their dead loved ones , you gave Jennie Mcalpine a hard time when she expressed her grief for her dad , and for all she knew IAC producers could of edited that out.

She wasn't performing or trying to get sympathy from viewers yet you said she was and she genuinely looked upset nothing fake about it :nono:. You can't say they're using their dead loved ones for votes , you can't always think the worst .

That means people in the public eye aren't allowed to show emotions ?? , Should they bottle it all up ?? . And if they never cried then you'd see them as robotic or hard faced  so they can't win no matter what they do .
