No biggie just an oopsie-daisy again like some of the comments said on TiBB I think if India did not go on and on about 'the op/the change' people would not keep being reminded she was a man I don't think there was any maliciousness in the mistake

Meh. If India is talking about their transition all of the time as it seems, then it will be in the back of peoples minds that India is actually male. For most people, language is a universal thing. And He is used when speaking about male people. Hence 'mistakes'. I cannot get myself too worked up about 'misgendering'. Have been called sir myself before and the world did not end.
I think I would use them/they instead tbh. I already try to do that, that way you cannot really make a mistake. Even though I find them/they a weird pronoun to use for a singular person.

No malice is meant by it but I understand what India says, a simple "oh i'm so sorry genuinely" from Amanda would've cleared the situation though...

They wouldn't. People don't tend to actually give a crap about pronouns. That seems to be an internet phenomenon more than anything else.

Okay to be fair to India there is only women in the house so how hard is it to just reference EVERYBODY as a “she” its not that hard. The only reason I can think you would misgender someone is if you knew them as a man/woman before they transitioned and therefore find it difficult to adjust but they all met India as India and so I just can’t grasp how they keep making the same mistake?
But then, if India is getting misgendered a lot now I dread to think what the guys are going to be like, Dapper will probably do it on purpose and I can see India walking.

Yes but India will be very insecure about it as most trans people are. When you’ve fought so hard and for so long to be your true self and then someone drags you back to that place you were before you would get annoyed, especially if they do it repeatedly. It’s like a power thing and although I know nobody is misgendering India on purpose it takes away India’s power.

Theres going to be such a fuss made over this. And the 3x 'I am a real woman!' crap (Whats meant by 'real' in this context?)...India is clearly going to try for the sympathy vote by this conversation. Unfortunately for India, India is not actually very likeable and does come across as very self centred and Indias style of arguing leaves something to be desired. So sympathy vote will not be forthcoming I don't think..

I am sure India is very proud of her struggle/battle (sorry not sure what the right phrase is) and so she should be she has been through a lot however, I really hope we get to know 'her' as a person as all we know so far are 'the operation' and 'hasn't spoken to son in ages' & 'hasn't dated in a very longtime' would be nice to know more of her as a person her character...
When the ladies were all sat around the dinner table having a deep conversation India piping up with ' this is CBb not panorama' i found incredibly rude after she said that you could cut the atmosphere with a knife... I do hope there is more to India than her transition

I think it will be interesting, knowing Indias views on drag queens, and from what I have read about this Courtney (never watched drag race so never heard of him) he will stand his ground when India inevitably attacks him.

Courtney is so lovely and I’m sure if India isn’t confrontational and explains herself then her and Courtney could be friends but if India carries on slagging off Drag Queens and isolating herself then she is doing herself no favours.

Perhaps her fixating on her gender change and really talking about nothing much else doesn't help.
Why is there so much talk of gender nowadays?
Does it matter so much that your whole life revolves around your gender?
Just be who you want to be yourself and accept others for what they want to be, can't be that hard really can it?

I do feel for India because it likely does feel really **** to have this happen to her and I feel she has the right to be pretty upset and act different
HOWEVER
In all cases we've seen so far it is clearly just a mistake or slip up and not at all intentional. I'm sure everyone's parents or grandparents call them by their siblings names (I've often be called by the dogs name) which shows that people speak without thinking
So I think she has the right to feel sad or uncomfortable but not to be pissed off

I've thought from day 1 India really wants to win this from the way she's acted - and now I think she's found something that could earn her sympathy and some fans so she's latching on to it
I don't acctually think she's that angry about probabaly just a bit upset but she knows if she over acts she'll likely get support

Poor Amanda  It's such a difficult situation because it's so easy to slip up, but at the same time depending on how sensitive someone is it can feel so hurtful to have it happen. As difficult as it might be for her though India needs to accept that it will sometimes happen, accept the apology, and move on from it and not try and make the person making the mistake feel like sh*t. It's really disappointing after she handled that first misgendering situation so well, although I suppose being in the BB house for a few days will heighten emotions etc. I just hope she's not reacting like this for the cameras and using her trans status for a sympathy vote because that would be a big insult to trans people.
Vicky.

Thats definitely how its coming across to me. It seems like India is fairly happy for these 'misgendering' instances as it gives her a chance to be all 'I am a real woman, say it again' speechy and (in her mind) cement the sympathy vote and maybe win the whole thing. Of course this may be an unfair criticism...I won't know until we see more of India...just kind of seems this way. India appears to have little to offer other than the trans aspect of their personality. When surely...there is more to India than that. So far, does not seem that way though. Self centred, and obsessed with identity issues. Constantly talking about their life as a man, but then throwing a wobbler when someone else misgenders after days of hearing about how India is/was male :umm2:
I actually think India would be delighted for an instance of genuine transphobia to capitalize on. Which India may well get with this Dapper dude going in.

Yeah it was when she was shouting in Amanda's face that I had that thought too, and then (or it might have been just before) telling Maggie not to patronise her... was just so hypocritical "don't patronise me but hang on a minute while I patronise Amanda" (and not very nice to Maggie either considering she was trying to help). Like you say we won't really know till we see more though and I do want to give her the benefit of the doubt, even if she is exaggerating it I think it's undoubtedly going to have some affect on her and it can't be an easy thing to deal with, but she's not doing herself many favours.

I just watched both clips and though I definitely see where India is coming from and understand it must be incredibly frustrating to be called 'he' after going through what she has I do think the times we have been shown all the slip ups have being genuine.

To be fair saying "I am a woman, I'll say it until it penetrates" isn't the best choice of words!

I can totally understand that India is hurt. I'm a woman (born)...but if someone called me a "he" I would assume that I looked like a man and I would be offended and hurt AND insecure about it.
I can only imagine how worse someone who wasn't born a woman but trying so hard to be one would be hurt and offended.
What I don't understand is why she is dragging this on. India made her point strongly and it was very well done. Amanda got it, and genuinely apologized. India needs to let it go now. What does she want from Amanda...blood?

A real woman would not shout at an apologetic 82 year old woman, they would accept the apology for what it was.
A real 50 year old woman would not feel the need to sit topless on a TV programme for airtime.
A real woman would not bang on and on about herself and cut short other discussing subjects which are not about her.

Tbh with you, her attitude would get on my wick so much I'd probably start calling her Dave on purpose and get thrown out.

MESS why is everyone who works on this show useless :skull:
At least Ann is not letting india away with it in that clip. My opinion is it's india trying to force air time at the expense of an 82 year old woman, and it just doesn't sit well with me.
Elderly people have earned the right to be treated with respect and given a good deal of latitude. She is in no way meaning to be offensive

So over it. Your identity is so much more than pronouns, boobs and constant indignance... it persists despite all these things, so why so much work to control everyone else around you to support this? Such a miserable existance
I actually do not think she handled Ann's misgender well. When she first approached her. I think she said outright "You misgendered me." and then continued on to force a reaction... as if a petulant child reminding the guilty that they should feel guilty... I don't buy it. So emotionally manipulative.

If you are happy as you are, then it doesn't matter how others view you. It matters more how you view yourself. She is so focused on the physical transition. Boobs do not make a woman. If you have transitioned in your heart, then the body changes just close the chapter... it's not going to fix the mess inside.

No malice intended with Amanda's slip up she literally admitted she feels awful just before the slip up but India's reaction was insane.. waaaaaaaaaay OTT
If India wanted 'acceptance' her behavior needs to change a lot from the silly 'annoyance' sulky behavior which IMHO is not doing her any favours at all she is literally alienating herself from others daft cow..
Yes India 'this is CBB not secret life of 5 year olds..'

Since BB ever started there's always been BS like this , people playing certain cards for attention and to make other hm's look bad.
I barely watch BB , i've only caught up on clips on youtube . But Amanda should of just apologised once or twice and then left it at that .
India is clearly thriving on this and enjoys milking the situation :bored:. It's obvious Amanda wasn't being cruel and she even told her she's in her 80's and just made a mistake .

I jut watched the full episode and it's made me dislike India even more now :bored: , she makes such an issue out of nothing . Amanda apologised a billion times , what more does she want! and the reaction is exaggerated to death and anyone would think Amanda nastily called her something worse when all she did was accidentally say "he" .
And i noticed other people did the same thing and she didn't seem too upset when Ann did it , and she missed Rachel doing the same thing :notimpressed: .

One thing I did notice after India's little kitchen drams was when she left into the other room she was smirking. I don't think making an 82 year old so uncomfortable she wants to leave is funny.

India has issues , even when she was alone in the garden that little statement "i don't accept your apology" after Amanda had already left was for the camera's once again .
People have gone through worst things and they don't bitch and moan as much as her , if she was genuinely discriminated then fine but she WASN'T that's the ridiculous thing about it  .And it's cringy and irritating how that stupid argument dragged on for eternity :bored: .
