Possibly that could be another indicator they see her as a woman? Because flirting with a gay guy is obviously just joking around, as the straight gays aren't gay, making it just fun/"banter" (hate that word, but it best describes it). On the other hand, they are attracted to women, so flirting is more likely to be real, hence not taken as lightly?
