BB18 in Hindsight - Your thoughts?

Now it's been so long since it finished, how would you reflect on this series?

I think it was one of the best in years, I really enoyed it and it had a great mix of drama, arguments, laughter, good housemates. It got boring in parts, but overall it was the most engaged I had been in BB in years.

The trash ones were less bad than usual, except Ellie and Lotan.

Enjoyed Isabelle, Chanelle, Sue, the Javeeds, the Agboolahs and Raph

Everyone else was varying shades of trash at some point or another

Top tier cast. Extremely entertaining at times. Deathly boring at others. Messy twists as per.

i've noticed that after Deborah's popularity started increasing and she become one of the favorites to win, everyone focused on Deborah. I still slightly preferred Deborah but Hannah's super underrated.

Still love it but not the best ever like I said when it finished :skull:

Faults:
-Sukhy walking
-Ejecting Lotan (he’s scum but you could definitely tell the drop in quality for a few days once he left, which imo was due to him leaving since there was no divide or anything etc)

BUT the whole diverse cast idea gave us some amazing HM’s, the whole of Sukhy :love:, Isabelle being picked to go in, Fight Night 3, Simone our mess saving the series :love, Chanelle, and the best winner EVER makes it a top tier series <3


But Isabelle/Hannah/Deborah arguing with Chanelle/Raph/Sukhy/Imran makes me SAD

BB18 gave us Rebecca, Sue, Sukhvinder, Isabelle, Raph and some other very good housemates so yeah it was actually pretty good

Sukhvinder is overrated for the time she spent in there. Yes she was great and had potential but she isn't really the top HM of the series as she spent two weeks there and then walked because her hubby got evicted.

It was okay.

When it was good it was amazing, when it was bad it was dire. The problem with BB18 is that it was all over the place, one week would be gripping and then the next nothing would happen. The production didn't help (though when does it ever) either, they brought back VTS to save Sukh which was a great decision and it was beginning to work and then they reverted back to VTE and what happened? Anytime the series got interesting, we lost the stars of that week :bored: Sue and Simone's evictions were a complete injustice, they revived the series and then left immediately. And Chanelle's eviction was a total joke given she was the overall star and deserved to win, I realise I'm the minority (nothing changes) but the finalists were just lacklustre sorry, likeable yes but the very definition of average

17 was way better

Completely agree apart from the parts about Chanelle and Isabelle. Though really VTS still had some awful bad downtimes to it, and is the reason Imran and Sukhvinder left so early in the first place; somehow over a bore like Charlotte. So i'm not so sure if the change from VTS to VTE would've changed more and more dire results. That said, completely changing from VTS to VTE simply because of Lotan's ejection is comically abrupt to do.

Also i've touched on this before. BB18 is looked back on fondly by people, but a noteworthy thing mentioned is that Isabelle won. And I really enjoyed her as well. But I feel like if Deborah, Raph or especially Tom won that night, the series wouldn't be as fondly remembered as it sometimes is, or at least a little less praised depending on what your opinion of those three are.

And I don't want to hear from you Team Britney @Riley H about to say that Tom would've been a satisfying winner, I just mean the majority of people here and in general who much preferred Isabelle to the other three.

6 months later, I'm not if I feel the same.
It's still one of the best, but I feel like I missed Hannah and she's definitely worth a rewatch, whether in hindsight most of the hype around Raph was due to his TiBB status and he wasn't a memorable runner up. I wasn't part of the Issy fanclub either, she was ok, but I believe Hannah deserved it more.

I think Isabelle was a great winner but is heavily overrated (kind of like Sophie BB10) and do agree that Deborah would've been a better winner/more fitting for the series, but that's not taking away from Isabelle as a housemate as she was brilliant in her own way too.
