View Full Version : Labour appoint racist Munroe Bergdorf as equalities adviser

Northern Monkey

Munroe was the first transgender model to front a campaign for L'Oreal but was dropped in September after claims she posted racist comments online.

She wrote a lengthy Facebook post which it's claimed included the comment: "Honestly I don't have energy to talk about the racial violence of white people any more. Yes ALL white people.

"Because most of ya'll don't even realise or refuse to acknowledge that your existence, privilege and success as a race is built on the backs, blood and death of people of colour.

"Your entire existence is drenched in racism."

The comments were later deleted.

L'Oreal said her comments were "at odds" with their values and it ended its partnership with her.

The 29-year-old will work with Labour's shadow minister for women and equalities, Dawn Butler, who held an event at Parliament on Monday to announce the LGBT advisory panel.

She also said -

Come see me when you realise that racism isn’t learned, it’s inherited and consciously or unconsciously passed down through privilege.

Once white people begin to admit that their race
is the most violent and oppressive force of nature on Earth… then we can talk.’

Amongst other vile stuff.

Conservative vice-chair Helen Grant urged Ms Butler to reconsider the appointment.

Citing Bergdorf’s history of controversial comments, Ms Grant said: ‘There really is no excuse for these abhorrent slurs and, fundamentally, they damage the campaign to promote equality and diversity across public life.

When Jeremy Corbyn was elected Labour leader, he promised a ‘kinder politics’. Yet it seems every day we see some new example of abuse from the Labour Party. The kind of language Bergdorf has used has no place in public life, and ought to be condemned by all those who are serious about promoting equality.’

Why can't we acknowledge she has a point?...
Her historical depiction is factually accurate, why can't that be acknowledged.
There exists institutional racism , all these institutions don't have a racist ethos and the the required level of equality and diversity training and yet it exists.

Why should we have an equalities spokesperson who is afraid to address such issues?

If they are based on a flawed sample they are not a 'real thing' are they?...:/

He stated he had a dislike of the British empire specifically due to the fact he was Part Kenynan due to the phrase 'ancestral' dislike, intimating it is intrinsic not personal.

Statistical disparity doesn’t mean discrimination..Discrimination due to race is illegal. We live in a meritocracy now.Capitalism doesn’t see colour it sees money.Race discrimination isn’t productive. If you’re racist you lose money.

Historically,So what?Do we want to live in the past forever or move on?This is what these leftist activists do.Constantly bringing up and living in the past to try and keep people living in a constant state of victimhood to benefit their political narrative and try and keep white people feeling guilty about what their ancestors have done.
All it does is hold people back.

Geographically,Yeah all this lovely weather is giving us a real helping hand.

All this generalising people by race is regressive af.There are so many other factors of how people prosper.
So yes the concept of white privilege is racist.Attributing to the individual attributes due to skin colour is racism.

Oh lordy, the subheading says Her appointment was criticised by Conservatives because of previous social media comments, but I'm pretty sure Labour supporters weren't happy with her appointment either.
The transgender model and campaigner Munroe Bergdorf has quit her role on the Labour party’s LGBT advisory board after attacks in the tabloid press and by Conservatives (https://www.theguardian.com/politics/conservatives)over comments she had made.
But what looks like a citation is just a link to the various articles of their writers sperging on about the Tories, rather than a link to anything directly relevant.

yep, you will always get young votes saying we must tax the rich (whoever the rich are) we must fight poverty, we must be more equal, we must love thy neighbour, help starving africans and all the other idealistic stuff

then these voters get a job, a car a mortgage and they start thinking about themselves a bit more and and their children and they think fck all that I want cheaper tax, petrol, mortgages and better schools/council services etc

:joker:

True !! and Corbyn is ideal for the muppets to bow down too ,as they know no better

You can't beat life experience. It's like a new apprentice trying to tell the qualified staff how it really is! :hehe:

Bergdorf is an utter twat

Labour continue making themselves unelectable. Its so ****ing depressing, having been a lifelong Labour voter, I cannot vote for them in their current form. They seem to be getting worse and worse by the day, nevermind the month

Tbh our two main parties are getting lazy because they know that none of the other parties can challenge them so they don't have to put any effort into running the country.

Like how that Lily Madigan got the Women's Officer for her local Labour office bullied out of office her being a "TERF", and then took her job...

Speaking of Lily Madigan, just saw this elsewhere. Lily totaly butchered with common sense arguments :D

I'm in my mid 40s... how much experience do you need before your mind totally closes off?
