Yeah this is the first real season where there's no clear stand-out stars. Rozina would've been one had she not been evicted after 2 episodes and no time on the feeds </3

I do worry that this is going to be the worst BBCAN season so far and it's going to get cancelled for good as a result </3

Yeah it's pretty much the same for me, Hamza, Ryan and Erica seem to be the only ones with any kind of a personality. It doesn't help that the others who did (Andrew and Rozina) went back to back either

I'm struggling to care about ANY of these people tbh, I know it's early days but after the premiere of the last season of Survivor I didn't have a good feeling about it and in the end I found it the worst one I've watched live in nearly five years. I have the same kind of uninspired feelings about this :/

I'd say BBCAN3 was nowhere near as dull as this at this current stage. You already had Risha's naked jacuzzi, Sindy's bathroom error, Paranoia over the rule breaker, Graig/Godfrey vs Sindy, the divide between Naeha/Sarah/Brittnee/Johnny and the rest of the house etc.

That's a fair point, I give BB3 a bad rap on here cause it's my least favourite season but I think the thing that kept that season going (and from being 'bad') was that it had a couple of really great characters to root for in Sarah and Godfrey, and obviously had a great finish

It's early days and I hope it changes but I don't yet see any characters like that emerging from this cast

There are a lot of parallels though, the thing I hated most about BB3 was all the backpatting kumbaya feel :bored:

I will agree with this but I think a lot of it has to do with it becoming The Ika Show, like the pre-jury eviction order was SO bad and I still look on it really unfavourably, had it not been for her it would've been season-ruining

A bit too predictable, the preview suggested Erica had all the power, and then the edit didn't have anything from Veronica at all, it was all about how the house wanted her out. I also think the whole 'stirring' stuff was encouraged by the producers to liven up the house. Because of the stupid way the gatecrashers vote was done they didn't get one of the original stirrers they had planned so she had to do that role.

BBCAN5 at least had some moments (particularly early on) and IMO that was the worst one before this (if it's not BBCAN3 - but I think 3 also had some moments and with a better overall cast). BBCAN6 truly has nothing so far.

I preferred 5 to 3 but yeah, both definitely had way more going on and rootable characters (even if they were few and far between) than this pile of crap

Over half the cast have NO personality (not just bad ones, but NO personality at all), all the evictees (bar Jesse) have so far been the interesting ones, the votes are nearly all unanimous, the divide never really materialised, the house is full of sheep, there's very little drama if at all, it's just dire :umm2:

Sadly I don't see anything besides a normal All Stars season being possible and even then that might not ever happen. It'll be such a shame if they returned and then went right back on hiatus after this season. :joker:

Here for it! I'm STILL convinced that was the plan last year but it just didn't materialise hence we got the dull newbies (sans Karen) instead

This is the big problem with all-newbie seasons, they are hit and miss. Get a great cast and it pops, but get a dire one and it drags, at least most of the time you know what you're getting when you cast a bunch of vets/do an All Stars. Granted I wanted all-newbies this year too and they are a requirement if you ever want an All Stars season but still :laugh:

Dre had potential I thought, and I liked William for the most part but he played Kevin's game. Demetres was good too. Overall though I don't think the newbies stood a fair chance against the vets in terms of having their 'time to shine', perhaps they would have come across as more interesting in a cast full of newbies.

i do think some are better than majority of the newbies last season like William,Jackie,Mark,Emily and Dillion were tragic throughout the series. (i never got the like for William he was too whiny and acted tough but flopped) but Karen,Dre and Dem are better than majority of this cast.

I think the issue is that they're all quite similar and get along well. And all the big personalities are/were in the same sort of group so it hasn't been a case of the big personalities going after one another and causing the most drama like it has been in previous seasons.

There's also way too many different alliances that basically just intertwine into one big house alliance... so everyone thinks they're in with the "group" until it just ends up as their turn to go.

4 has the worst newbies IMO when you take everything into account. Cassandra, Loveita and Mitch were the only interesting ones, and that season would've been FAR worse had Nikki not been in it (I still think it's the worst BBCAN for me personally, but 6 is doing the most to try and change that!).

I'm just hoping this picks up like BBCAN3 did. 3 was dire until the jury phase started (the only exception being Graig's eviction week, which we didn't even get to see on the feeds due to Nae's instant eviction </3)

I think I've been more invested in the newbies I've liked this season than last...it's just that they're almost all gone. But I'd definitely agree that even of the ones I didn't care for last year (Dillon/Dre/Jackie) they at least had some semblance of a personality compared to the ones I REALLY don't care for this time (i.e. the majority of the remaining houseguests) :shrug:

The thing that BB4 had going for it though was that the cast all gelled together to create some great drama and storylines. Like, there were far closer votes in the pre-jury phase that season than there have been this one, at least most people turned up to play, there was some great gameplay, divides, drama etc

And also, there were HATEABLE characters in the form of Jared and the brothers too! I'll always take a season where I root against people than one where I don't care what happens, I'd prefer to have an opinion on someone than none at all :laugh:

I agree that the vets made last year's season much more entertaining but at least the newbies still had their own storylines like Demetres vs Dillon in the beginning, The French Connection, Jackie's feuds with Ika and Karen, Dre vs. Dillon before the triple.

Eh this would've all been pretty bad/mediocre tbh if the vets weren't adding to it with their own storylines and involvement in these storylines.
